Thanks Bob, I appreciate it greatly! When it was all said and done, I know, conditioning wise, this was my best. Now, it's time to dial it all in and bust some heads open!

I thought John had some of the best conditioning in the show. I would rather see this kind of physique win a show than the ones they are letting win, big, seperated, detailed...everything BB should be not 15lbs of shit stuffed in a 2lbs bag like the "winner" from last night.

Stay in the mix now John and compete as many times as your body will allow, you gotta let the judges know that this isn't a one off.

Weird, I was sitting Front Row Dwn Lf of the stage and from that view, the cut was so deep, it actually looked Torn. My bad Shawn does seeing John come back to the stage at his age, make you think about making a return to the stage?, same goes for Kevin, as he's making a comeback to, why don't you join them?

I like your attitude John, to come back at 40 years old and go up against these beasts takes some balls, Bob's right show them some attitude and confidence on stage no matter what the call outs are. You need to show the judges that you know that you look good!.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to see the condition and the fullness of your upper body. Seriously though, the wheels were your bread and butter back in the day. Have you got knee issues or something preventing you from training them properly? Hopefully not, and it's just a case of you having left those puppies back in Texas on the stair stepper. 'Cause I know you still had them back in '01. Pic from 2001: You're almost there. Just do what you did back in '92 at the Nats (your all time best), and you'll reap the rewards. Check the vid... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM8EgS77-MAHe has def looked better then that, hell even at the NY Pro I think he looked better. He needs to get to that look that got him all those runner up spots in the 90', he could def take some shows with that look.

Awesome, especially for 40!
Great conditioning. Legs might have to come up a bit (for today's standards)
What's your next show/plans John?

Jealous of John Sherman? Yes, I am to do what he is doing after the lay off, I hate him for coming back and looking soo good! John, you're an inspiration but like the other cat said, I ain't coming back anytime soon because I know what your going through and it takes a special kind of dedication to do and it and we all know I have become addicted to FOOD! Rock on bro!

Sherman rocks, judging sucks. Also he set a standard for his own wheels back in the day, otherwise, not small, just not freaky-huge that we've come to expect. I hope he makes damage, but judging direction really indicates otherwise...

unless he adds another 30lbs, with most of it going in the mid section he won't get far in the IFBB

Your correct, his waist still isn't up there with the other tops pros. He needs more HGH and Slin, then we can talk about a Mr. Olympia title.

Thanks for your support .When I competed back in the 90's, The most I ever weighed honestly was 187. For this show I weighed 206. The legs haven't gone anywhere, they are actually more detailed than ever. My upper body improved, which may give the appearance that my legs aren't as big, but, the legs are just as big as before. The maximum weight that I plan on competing at will be 210, no more. Anymore than that I will begin to look like everyone else, which may be okay for the masses, but, not for me.
