The Orleans is listed as the Host Hotel. Thus it is at the Orleans. The Arena is part of the Orleans. The expo can't help but be great. but having it 5+ miles from the Orleans wasn't the best idea. The convention center is an awesome place though I give it that.

Being the president of the IFBB is a very influential position, Wayne had a lot he was in charge of and having the clout of the IFBB behind him was a big advantage...sponsorships are where the money is, it doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.

Where are the great shows now? If Wayne is the super promoter you say he is, and being the pres of the IFBB was ofno advantage...why the lack of sponsors, shows, attendance?

Sounds like you have an issue with the supplement companies and who they choose to support...take it up with them. If they don't want to be a part of the IFBB, then I'm sure they wouldn't be...no one is forcing their hand...just like you, Lee...you had a choice...you didn't like being a part of the club, so you left.

Chic come on this is your come back. I figured more from you or Manion. I must really have come up with a hard one here. Those sponsors were there because of the show not the IFBB. The Olympia got all the press and is the biggest BB show of the year. That is why the sponsors were there. And how you bring up sponsors for the PDI when it is a FACT everyone one of them were threatened if they helped Wayne. You know that and so does everyone else. Don't try to deny it cause it makes you look really bad and dumb. And yes despite all the IFBB bullying last year, Wayne still pulled off shows that paid more in prize money than 95% of all IFBB shows. And don't speak about attendance. The Colorado Pro, Atlanta and other show the IFBB had were embarrassing in attendance numbers. And they have a 50 year head start on the PDI. How embarassing is that. How much was the prize money for the NOC when Wayne did it compared to the NY Pro now. I don't know but I hope it isn't less or the IFBB should be burying their heads in the dirt. So far you are losing this battle, but you are my friend so if you need some water I will give it to you.

What SHOULD happen and what is reality are not necessarily the same thing. Yes, I would love to see the Olympia on PPV, for that matter, I would love to see it prime time on ABC Wide World of Sports...but we have to build it up to a respectable fan base in order for those options to become viable.

Right now, we have a great opportunity to bring Pro BB to a worldwide audience and showcase the athletes (bring more interest) BEFORE the Olympia...I believe this is essential in bringing new fans into the sport and along with it, more sponsors.

More fans, yes for sure...webcast all the other shows...ironman, NY...Montreal, Atlantic city...i don't care, but how do you expect to give the Olympia the monacre of "top show" when it's on the same level as the others??? not to mention it's been around for 40 years! and has been on PPV before, now you've downgraded to Webcast?

PPV is not free to produce..it's very costly and the retun in some of the years was a loss.

The Superbowl is on TV, just like the other NFL games...for FREE. I don't see people bitching for it to go to PPV...same principle. Yes, I realise one's TV and the other is the internet...same principle.

It wasn't our call to not PPV it...were doing what we can to bring it to a worldwide audience, and right now that is via the internet on BB.com.

Bob's right. The technology is going the webcast way....the "free" way!!
Now with computers integrating with T.V's and faster bandwidths apound the corner.......and things like youtube changing the way the world has to do business.......good stuff.

However the sad truth is the IFBB, AMI.... are simply the Walmarts of business.....They are huge enough to dominate a market and because they satisfy your needs, you shop there, keeping them growing.

Yes, like most big business they can threaten behind the scenes,,,any competition and do lots of dirty work!!!!

History shows eventually that a monarchy soon creates a mutiny and the kings are killed...........

Im for the PDI and if they ever have a show in my area...Ill be there.

Well there have been how many Mr. Olympia's so far, 40 or so. Can you maybe give us a timeline when the IFBB will start building the fan base up to make it viable. It is aired to us for free but it is far from actually being free. The network pays hundreds of millions of dollars for the right to air the games. This money is shared between the NFL, owners, teams and players. That is why I wanted to know how much BB.com is paying the IFBB for the rights to air this and why isn't the money being paid distributed to the athletes who are competing. Why does the IFBB keep it all and not raise the prize money. If the IFBB isn't getting a minimum of $100,000 from BB.com then there people (IFBB) are some of the dumbest in the industry and know I understand why BB is where it is and the prize money is where it is. Bob this is something you need to concentrate on. I also understand why you have to be so diplomatic. You have so many conflicts of interests here its unreal. You are an IFBB pro, you are the IFBB Rep, you are an executive with BB.com, you are the annoucer, you host a radio show and you are the public mouth for Manion. No wonder why you can't do your job for the IFBB members the way it should be.
