How in the world did he move form 1st to 4th in 2 weeks. Did he look off? Did the judges reward a more asthetic physique(s)? He looked ripped in the pics, but I was not there and Wolf looked great but about the same as the NY show. How could the placings change so much in such a short time??? I agree that based on the pics , Wolf , Kai and Miller looked better than Branch. BUt if the IFBB pro judges picked Branch in NY and then do a 180 on him and the others 2 weeks later, well...how consistant is that. If I were Branch Warren , I would be saying "wtf" ? My beef here is not in Wolf winning but in the shift in judging ...

You know as well as anyone that peaking for a show is just that. One cannot effectively do it two weeks apart. One has to choose. Branch obviously chose the NY Pro; he looked better and dryer at the NY Pro. His back at Keystone was smoother and as dogbowl pointed out his arms look like they insert at different heights on his torso in this pic. Sure, he's got a lot of muscle, but this is a very unflattering pic.

Branch is on the way down...He no longer has the "mass with class" look at all...Judges at the NY Pro made a joke placing with him as 1st...Now the real question is: Do we as fans hold more power with the judges than was originally thought??? I mean after the NY Pro how many fans spoke out about how ridiculous the placings were???....Either the judges are finally following criteria now or the fans of bodybuilding are having more of a voice.....

Hmmmm, this is possible. I don't fault Branch for comming in lookin' freaky , if that is the look that wins.He did look off in that pic above, I gotta admit. Maybe, some top IFBB official sat down and in simple terms reminded the judges what the standards were and to be sure to abide my them. I remember when we had figure for the 1st year and the head judge gave a clear reminder before the figure girls as to what the basic standards were and were NOT. If the standards are to the best overall physique, I appluad them and hope it sticks. Howard

Amazing that pros have their conditioning on spot for a matter of mere hours. Despite the fact that we see them the most in contest form, it is the state they are in for the least amount of time.

Hmm.lets see, even when he doesnt look as sharp he still makes the top 4.Yes,he should just pack it in and quit. The guy is always placing near the top,but according to the same experts who say "Ronnie looks like crap",he is on the way down.A first place and a fourth place this month.Geeze,he sucks.

Branch received a huge gift at New York.
His physique should never win an IFBB show.

I have never said Ronnie looks like crap...When Ronnie brings it all together there has not been a bodybuilder in history with the same genetic superiority...Branch is on the way down, his physique is losing its symmetry year by year...The judges just gave the name Warren Branch the 1st & 4th placing not the physique...There were more than 3 other guys at the Keystone that looked better than him...

I would say they had around 1,600 people in attendance, but after the NPC figure competitors were done the place started to clear out. All of the figure girls friends and family seemed to careless about the pro competition. The venue looked to hold around 5,000 people so 1,500 didn't look like a lot, but it was cheap ticket pricing. I Payed $30 for the finals ticket and that was for the pros and the armatures. The stage/sound/lighting was not to be out done by any show other than the Mr. O, Arnold and maybe the Colorado. They also had big screens so you could see from anywhere in the arena I think the promoters did a awesome job. My advise would be don't run it on a holiday weekend

I hate the idea that the figure /fitness girls are now catching on and may surpass bodybuilders? who knows. I suspect that the 'roid issue is a lot more harmful to our sport than some admit or are willing to accept
