Yes, Serbia did it afterall, at some point I was a bit worried about freak team of Ukraine to win.  ;D

I tought there would have been more performances like Lordi was last year, but actually there wasn't.  :)

serbia deserved to win. it was good to get the focus back on the actual singing and song writing and not a freak show

If we think about just the songs and forgot stage performances and outlooks, that Serbia's song was pretty usual but good signing etc.., you're right about that.

So yes, they deserved to win. :)

But there was also other songs with more feeling and personality, some not so usual ones.

From my view of point, most important thing was that UK didn't win, that song must be in my nightmares this night.

No, this is a one day song contest for all Europian countries, old contest for many countries. (And also very gayfriendly party, newspaper said  :o )

Why can't North America compete? Is it because we have too much talent ???

Maybe because it's "EUROvision"...?  ;)

Similar question would be why can't Finland or Sweden play in Superbowl or something  ;D

"The Contest has been broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1956, and is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world. It is also one of the most-watched non-sporting events in the world,[1] with audience figures having been quoted in recent years as anything between 100 million and 600 million internationally."

I was surprised to see that this time it wasn't a transsexual/transvestite winner.
Only second place.

Congrats to the butch lesbian for winning!

It's a bit of a joke contest each year. Each country sends a group with a song. Then a winner get's voted after they've all performed on the show.

Yes it's a bit funny because every country seems to vote best points for their neighbour country..  ::)  Sweden to Finland, Latvia to Russia etc...

But it's good that there's different kind of contests in world, and it was pretty exciting that first time in history those were just nearby my home town this year, in Helsinki, Finland. :)
