Excellent observation A2D2. In legalspeak, when one party promises another party future consideration (such as putting one on a magazine cover), it is an unenforceable agreement unless the party of the second part actually relied on said promise to his own detriment. The other legal defense is the ambiguity of the word "future", which could of course be interpreted to mean that this fine young man will finally get a call in February, 2018 to find out if he's in contest condition and ready to appear for a photoshoot for a "future" cover. Chances are, that without a firm written agreement and with the contest's rules so loosely defined and with it being difficult enough to sell magazines with anyone other than Branch Warren on its cover, we won't be seeing Mr. MD on any covers anytime soon.

In legalese, we have a technical term for this precarious situation:

Block, can you believe that BillyGuns finally realized the 'privilege' of spending 12 hours working for MD at a bodybuilding show every weekend wasn't all it was cracked up to be...especially when he was forced to wear his compensation (a $3 t-shirt).

 Well, the way they see it there will always be another lackey toadie just itching to be a part of 'Team MD' so what do they give a fk, right?

I think we all agree that this Billy Guns seems like a nice kid and was taken advantage of and used by MD. In the same way that the "Cool Crew" at my high school adopted a total retard of a slob to be their mascot and made him buy their beer, clean their cars, encouraged him to try to kiss girls while mocking him - all for the 'privilege' of being seen with them, MD adopted Billy to be their mascot, made him buy their supplements and steroids, do their grunt work at the shows, encouraged him to do a contest while mocking him from their seats - all for the 'privilege' of being seen with them.

The saddest part is that once Billy realized he had a following and tried to capitalize on it, someone's pathetically fragile ego was threatened enough to enforce a "dress code" to stop Billy's self promotion. In someone's tiny penis of a world, Billy was actually getting "too famous" and overshadowing "the company" and had to get "whacked". Really now, does it get any more pathetic?
