I'll never go to a pro show
I thought of going to the Ironman this year, looked at the prices and said hell no.
I mean who the fuck would pay that much to see a bodybuilding show? I mean bodybuilding it nearing its complete nadir. Most of these guys look like complete pieces of shit now.

I did for the Arnold. I don't know about this time. For the Arnold, the guys at MuscleTime.com did that for me for my continued support of their business, back when I actually made sales. I'll put things into perspective: I made more in DVD sales in the first two days of June 2006 than I did so far this June. So I don't think the guys at MuscleTime.com really owe me anything. At this point I'm just wondering when the bodybuilding DVD market will just collapse entirely. I know that if I'm not making sales, no one is. |

Thanks for your response. It's a bad time to be a "Muscle" DVD salesman I guess..... 2004-2006 was a great time. DVD sales have dropped at least 80% on my website which leads me to believe this is an industry wide trend. While Hollywood can recover from this, I highly doubt the bodybuilding industry will be able to and I think production of future bodybuilding DVDs will cease. I can recover financially through more web design projects this year, but that is a straight exchange of time and money and is not attractive to me. I wanted to see actual business growth because when you own a business you can make money while you sleep rather than exchanging time for money in the traditional sense which I think enslaves a lot of people. |
