CQ and I are visiting the little white chapel. Matt C - will you grow your sideburns out and stand in as Elvis for the ceremony?
Ask Milos, I hear that's how he plans to sneek into the Olympia.

I can recover financially through more web design projects this year, but that is a straight exchange of time and money and is not attractive to me.
240 asks when you birthday is, extends an offer to send you a gift and you come back with telling him you're going to do what he's doing? Ouch.

2004-2006 was a great time. DVD sales have dropped at least 80% on my website which leads me to believe this is an industry wide trend. While Hollywood can recover from this, I highly doubt the bodybuilding industry will be able to and I think production of future bodybuilding DVDs will cease. I can recover financially through more web design projects this year, but that is a straight exchange of time and money and is not attractive to me. I wanted to see actual business growth because when you own a business you can make money while you sleep rather than exchanging time for money in the traditional sense which I think enslaves a lot of people.
Don't you know that most of these guys would make a DVD even if it meant losing money? (Bodybuilding is never about the money.)

I did for the Arnold. I don't know about this time. For the Arnold, the guys at MuscleTime.com did that for me for my continued support of their business, back when I actually made sales. I'll put things into perspective: I made more in DVD sales in the first two days of June 2006 than I did so far this June. So I don't think the guys at MuscleTime.com really owe me anything. At this point I'm just wondering when the bodybuilding DVD market will just collapse entirely. I know that if I'm not making sales, no one is.
Seriously Matt, you haven't done a hell of a lot of promotion of DVD's since the Arnold.. How do you expect sales?

Looking forward to it.
Staying in Vegas for a week.
Every thing is taken care of I just want to work out how much cash to bring with.
7 day = $700 spending cash enough , to little? $100 a day thats after food and accom has been taken care of... I have no idea what things cost in Vegas. Like a cab , food...

GetBigorDie....... Take this from a LV expert who am smarter than I looks .....
LV daily food expense - CHEAP - .... $40 a day should be plenty. Average buffet prices are: Breakfast $8 / Lunch $12/ Dinner $18. And you can find cheaper or more expensive meals all around this town. The hotel coffee shops are usually excellent too.
I do recommend the Prime Rib special at the Orleans Coffee Shop. Just the same slice of meat as served upstairs in the Prime Rib Loft but there is about a $5 price difference.
Or if you want a pretty good dinner on the cheap, try the Steak Special at Ellis Island... a small casino on Koval Lane behind the Paris Hotel/Casino. It's not on the menu but you simply point at the picture on tne menu cover and let him know how you want it cooked. (Approximately $5) This has been a Top Ten bargain for a couple of years now, but the steak is usualy hit or miss.
Most of the casinos offer great meal prices because they want you in the place to do some gambling and waiting for a table, no mattter how empty the joint may be, - is part of that "get you gambling" scheme.
Cab Fare - EXPENSIVE - Can be a major expense in this town and you will probably get stuck in traffic while the meter ticks. Your best bet is to simply walk or get the monorail behind the hotels on the Strip. And there will be transportation offered by the Olympia promoters. Take advantage of your feets and avoid expensive cab rides whenever possible and if you gotta cab it - join up with others heading in the same direction.
Entertainment - CHEAP or EXPENSIVE - One of the afternoon shows in town can be worth your while and will cost about $25. But I strongly suggest that you save some bucks and only go to one show while you are here. And that show is "KA" at the MGM Grand. Figure about $120 per person but it is the one "must see" show in this town. If you fail to take this advice, I do recommend that you do take advantage of the same day Half Price tickets that are available up and down the Strip and pick one of the better shows (Ka is usually unavailable) ---- such as Mystere / "O" / Reve / Phantom of the Opera / or a top class Magician. Get in line early (10 am) for the best selection of that night's shows available at almost 1/2 the regular price. (You do pay a couple of bucks extra for the service.)
Best free stuff to do in this town is to take a walking tour of all the Strip Casinos starting with the Mandalay Bay and ending up three miles down the road at the Wynn. Hit both sides of the Strip and do it over a two day period of about 4 hrs each morning. Have a lunch in one of the better places that appeal to ya. And do take that monorail ride that goes from the MGM Grand down to the Convention Center where the Expo will be going on.
And have a $1 beer at Casino Royale ... the cheapest bottle of beer in town. And for a $1.25 cup of beer get the coupon book at Circus Circus and go into Sots O Fun bar and get a real cold beer on tap.
Go downtown one evening and see the Fremont Street Experience but make sure you go into the Golden Gate Casino and have a great sandwich and the 99 cent shrimp cocktail (an old LV tradition) or the Combo which includes big shrimp and artificial crab for a couple bucks more. They do serve the best sandwiches in town.
If you can avoid the tables and the slots, this is one of the cheapest places to live in in the entire universe. Eat, drink, and be merry, but avoid the cabs if you expect to have some spare change in your pockets at the end of any given day.

NO! The Orleans is a good distance from the Expo (LV Convention Center). At least three miles. But there will be some kind of transportation from the Orleans to the Expo. Take advantage of that.
The Orleans is about 1 mile west of the Strip so it is an easy walk if the temperature is less than the normal 104. The Orleans used to provide shuttle service to the Strip so check that out upon your arrival.
While at the Orleans check out the bowling alley and the movie theaters and all the restaurants. There is a lot to do in that hotel. And just a mile north of the Orleans you'll find two other "hot spots" to check out - The Palms where you'll see some of the most attractive ladies in town on late weekend evenings. And the Rio which is right across the street.
If you do plan to hit some of the top night clubs, there is a cover charge and if you find the right guys on the Strip you can get Free Night Club Passes for a small tip. Look in the vicinity of the Planet Hollywood or simply ask your bellman\ or the guy who parks the cars (valet).
Remember - tipping is very important and a most common practice in this town.
