Yes, there will be the most extensive webcast ever for the Olympia Weekend!
Bodybuilding.com will provide free live web casts of the Mr. Olympia, Ms. Olympia, Fitness Olympia and the Ms. Figure Olympia prejudging and finals!
Coverage will also include the press conference, Mr. Olympia Expo shows and back stage athlete access and interviews for the first time ever. Bodybuilding.com will provide fans with exclusive pre-event articles, videos, athlete profiles and much more for the 12 weeks leading up to the event and will have event and post event coverage provided by Flex magazine, Muscle and Fitness, and Bodybuilding.com writers with access to the athletes being provided by their endorsed supplement companies, Muscle Tech, BSN, MHP, Vyotech, VPX and others.
"This agreement shows the commitment we have to provide the highest level of entertainment and coverage for the sport of bodybuilding, while keeping all our content on the web site free," said Ryan DeLuca, CEO Bodybuilding. "All the parties involved are committed to working together to provide the greatest exposure possible for the athletes and the Mr. Olympia weekend."

I am most pleased to see BB.com will be webcasting it, after that Hardbody fiasco last year.

They're making it free due to the terrible quality of last year's, correct?
While the quality sucked last year, it was still worht it to see Jay win live. Me and my friends went NUTS.

Last year's fiasco wasn't a Bodybuilding.com production. That was Hardbody.

Same here......all the athletes are looking smooth....you can't really see the details.... If it was like the quality lets say of a bodybuilding dvd it would be amazing. Besides its free so why complain? Bob do smthing.

It all depends on how the bandwidth is in terms of how fast the computers are around the world. They are experimenting with a higher resolution and larger screen, but will it work or slow down the webcast.

WOW! That's fantastic!
Good luck to all involved as I'm sure this is an enormous feat!
So happy to see that lots of people who can't make it, will be able to see it live. Some of my wife's friends and family have always wanted to see her compete...now they'll get to see her competing at the O.
Thanks BB.com, Weider and all the other Co's working on this.

I thought Hardbody Entertainment had a '3-year agreement' to do this.

Ron thanks for the thorough webcast information. In answer to one of the questions posed, YES there will be a first-rate DVD of the show produced directly by AMI/Weider/Olympia Events LLC and not by Hardbody or the 2005 producer. It will be available at www.IFBBTV.com and shipping is expected well before the holidays. So everyone can watch the live show for free for the "news" of the event, courtesy of BodyBuilding.com, and then see the great physiques full screen via DVD.
