sad thing is that the way things work is that Putnam probably has this thing won before even getting onstage with him being on the Flex cover and all but i think that our local hometown guy Mark Erpelding is every bit as good if not better than Peter.
Mark I believe has beaten Putnam before when he used to be a LHW. I might be wrong but pretty sure. Erpelding is thick as a house

Erpelding is thick as a house Yeah... at the '05 North Americans and Putnam wasn't nearly at his best. Last year USA's Putnam gets 2nd and Erpelding took 8th. Not taking anything away from Mark. He is a beast and impressive.

My money is on A.D. Cherry for one of the pro cards. You never know who will shock people. A couple years ago no one was talking about Fahkri and he left with a pro card. His conditioning at that show was sic.

My good friend Deshaun Grimez will definitely be fighting for the top spot as well. He is in the shape of his life and will give the rest of the field a run for their money.

I'll be cheering for my friend Jim Swanson...really big guy-Super-Heavyweight (though I would guess that ALL super-heavies are big guys, hehe), ton of potential and will be hard to bear as long as he comes in dry...
Good luck Swanny!!!

He's been busy with his product line Muscle Food, but what does his absence have to do with him showing up and shocking the hell out of everyone?

I don't think jerome will beat robert hatch. I think hatch and the heavyweight winner will win the two pro cards.

Ferguson is overdue, but not Putnum. He's only done 2 Nationals shows. Come on!!!! What about the folks that have been doing the competitions year after year. Those are the guys that are paying their dues. Some competitors are good National competitors, but not good Pro competitors. I hate seeing the politics play a role in who's going to win or who is in what magazine.

Worst post ever. You talk about politics yet reference "paying dues"? Whoever shows up the best on that day should win, whether its their first national show or 50th. In track, if youre running a race, and you finish ahead of the other guy, they don't say "hmmmmm, 2nd place guy has ran way more races, lets give it to him." Paying your dues is the biggest BS in bodybuilding.

No catfight! I just can't stand when people say pay their dues. Look at phil heath. 1st national level show=1st place. 1st pro qualifier=1st place 1st 2 pro shows=1st place. He probably "paid the least dues" out of any of the guys at his first 2 pro shows, but still deserved the wins.

Absolutely correct, but you were impying that Jerome deserved a pro card more than Peter based upon nothing more than the fact that Peter has only done 2 national shows.
