Thanks Ron for posting the pics. I have to add that these pics are taken cold, no pump, after dinner. Dare I say that Mr. Cherry will be bringing something back to the pro ranks that is sorely missed, SYMMETRY and PROPORTION (with a waistline at least the equal of Marvelous Melvin). Doesnt hurt that he'll be the biggest heavyweight up there in Vegas to boot.

Looks okay. Decent lines. But, no WOW! factor. Also, looks like a pec tear on his right, which explains the lack of chest thickness...

But in two weeks, this guys will be on stage, ready to battle it for first place. Will try to get some good stories on A.D. for the 'wow' factor

Will try to get some good stories on A.D. for the 'wow' factor By "WOW" factor I meant that nothing really stands out whether its huge mass, aesthetic lines, freaky conditioning, etc. Kinda ho-hum physique...not bad, but not great. We'll see what his condition looks like in a couple of weeks. So, is that a pec tear?

AD looks awesome, especially considering no pump, oil, or lighting. Shaving the head was a great idea. He's my pick for 1st.

Mindspin, I've read (and enjoyed) some of your comments before and respect your opinion,,,,and maybe I'm a little biased here, but A.D. has been been best conditioned guy in the heavyweight class at both last years USA and Nationals. As for a "wow" factor, that is usually the case when a competitor has overwhelming strengths and deficiencies. A.D.'s symmetry and asthetics allow him to stand next to other competitors and make them look "off". Being a now complete physique due to a systematic game plan, he has neither strengths or weaknesses, just balance, symmetry and asthetics. You might disagree, but I think Vegas in few weeks will prove me right.

As I said, he does not look bad. He just has a boring physique. There are many complete physiques that are balanced, yet still have something that POPS. Just my opinion. Best of luck to the guy...

I must say I am impressed and happy to see the gyno is not thee this year. I have to be real here and say the superheavy will get the first card and the way Putnam has marketed himself (Weider,Met-Rx, cover of Flex, Wife of Jessica P.) he willl get the 2nd card watch and see....
Shows are ALL political.... AD might be a go for next year..... I agree too a little the WOW factor is just not there with him besides the tiny waist...

It's not always political. Remember Ken Brown winning the USA's? People forget about that. Maybe paying your dues is a bettering way of putting it. Look how many time Omar Deckard competed in that show before winning the overall. This is a fact... The Superheavy WILL NOT win the overall this year! And how has Putnam marketed himself? Met-rx and Weider publication are the ones doing that!

AD's shape is his "WOW" factor. On stage, his shoulder to waist ratio is really impressive.
If he comes in shape, he is a definite favorite for the heavies. If Faramarz is doing the USA's as well, it could make for a great heavyweight class.

I totally agree with you others don't know diddly squat and I might be being a little biast myself, but the pics really don't do A.D. justice either, If you were to see him in person you would all have no doubt, But we'll all just wait till Vegas.... Good Luck Bro. See ya at the FF..

No WOW factor on Dex? Are you kidding? The condition, separation and detail that he has is among the best of all time.

Yeah right. So there's now wow factor here either, huh? In terms of a size/taper/symmetry combination, I'd say Melvin Anthony is the only guy on the pro level who is better than AD.

with that tiny waist and awesome symmetry he'll do damage in the pros. Just needs to add some more quality muscle.

it's a sad day in bbing, when "taper" is considered a "WOW" factor. Alas, we live in the age of walking refrigerators taking the top spots...
