By "WOW" factor I meant that nothing really stands out whether its huge mass, aesthetic lines, freaky conditioning, etc. Kinda ho-hum physique...not bad, but not great. We'll see what his condition looks like in a couple of weeks.
So, is that a pec tear?
yes it is a pec tear, I read an article on the guy a while back in a flex mag. he's been through some crazy shit in his life and seems to be on a better track now. At least according to the story in flex

things look like they are really coming together now, and that you've added some quality size since the nationals, but that waist is still crazy small!
Good job
p.s, your chest is really coming around as well!

it's a sad day in bbing, when "taper" is considered a "WOW" factor. Alas, we live in the age of walking refrigerators taking the top spots...
OH GAWD...if you don't consider TAPER a WOW factor, you might as well put JABBA the HUTT up on stage and hand him a 1st place trophy!! You have got to be kidding me if you think massive sloppy size outweighs symmetry, proportionality, and physique??! C'mon now...

Mindspin, I've read (and enjoyed) some of your comments before and respect your opinion,,,,and maybe I'm a little biased here, but A.D. has been been best conditioned guy in the heavyweight class at both last years USA and Nationals. As for a "wow" factor, that is usually the case when a competitor has overwhelming strengths and deficiencies. A.D.'s symmetry and asthetics allow him to stand next to other competitors and make them look "off". Being a now complete physique due to a systematic game plan, he has neither strengths or weaknesses, just balance, symmetry and asthetics. You might disagree, but I think Vegas in few weeks will prove me right.
100% AGREE, HES A TOTAL PACKAGE LIKE DEX AND MEL. ANTHONY, HES TOTALLY PROPORTIONED!!!!

That's my whole point Taper should be the STANDARD not the "WOW" factor. Everyone on stage should have a small waist and massive lats/shoulders/swiping thighs. So, the fact that someone today get mad props for a nice v-taper, makes it a sad day. Hope that helps genius... BTW, pecs are as thick as a sheet of paper

Just like have crazy spilt biceps or rediculous quad sweep. Wow factors are usually genetic strengths that make you stick out compared to your competitiors.

yeah, mindspin your reaching on this one... the guy has an unusually small waist ... but to me his "wow" factor is his arms... huge.... and outer seperation that few pros have...

Is he a good bodybuilder? Definitely. Will he turn pro? Probably. If he turns pro, will he be among the best? ansolutely NO.
That's my opinion. You can all go back to your nut-hugging.
