Fighting cellulitis through massage ..
« on: July 20, 2007, 12:14:51 AM »
I've been having endless arguments with the local masseurs about massage and cellulitis...My point is mainly that when the adipose tissue underneath the skin dissapears then cellulitis can disapeare too ...while they argue that massage is effective . I feel that the ideea that massage can burn fat insults my intelligence.

Cellulite is dimpled fat under the skin. Cellulitis is a bacterial infection in the skin usually seen in fat people.

everyone knows that spot fat reduction is possible....why else would the general population believe it and buy so many products that claim to do it?

maybe we should develop one of those electrical abs belt things for the legs to reduce cellulite..we would make a fortune  ;D
Here comes the money shot

yes thats it, you should learn everything about this, learn how to massage, try it on people that have cellulitus, maybe your girlfriend or mom who has it it doesnt matter, if you see any results, learn even more about it by practice and expanding your intelligence, you can make some good money with this, specialise yourself as a cellulitus-masseur, if it works the money will be rolling in with good marketing.

The only way to fight cellulitis is thru antibiotics.  Never put off going to the doc with this shit, you can loose limbs..

cellulite or cellulitus???

i think people are talking about 2 different things....

cellulite: Cellulite is a kind of fat tissue in the subcutaneous layer of the skin that contains constricting bands of connective tissue. This connective tissue, which varies in thickness and is laced with fat cells, is held in place by a network of fibers that protects our body, cushioning our muscles and organs; it is surrounded by a liquid that both nourishes it and provides it with an effective waste system. When all is working well in the system, waste products are removed and smooth curves result; when fats, fluids and toxins are trapped deep in the skin (below the epidural layer), however, the connective tissue thickens and hardens, giving a dimpling effect. As we mature, the layer of skin thins, resulting in the rippled appearance of cellulite.

cellulitus: Cellulitis is an infection of the skin and underlying tissues that can affect any area of the body. It often begins in an area of broken skin, like a cut or scratch, when bacteria invade and spread, causing inflammation, pain, swelling, warmth, and redness.

Tanning clears all blemishes off the skin. Extreme cellulite can only be removed with laser surgery.

cellulite is not a blemish...read the previous post.

cellulite is a type of fat tissue. tanning does clear blemishes, however tanning doesnt reduce fat. extreme cellulite can be removed partially through diet and exercise

I you are talking about women, usually it's an estrogen problem. In general, eating more healthy fats will help.

i think you are being sarcastic.   but if not, all tanning does is cover things with a tan.  there are hordes of fat women who tan because they are led to believe that tanning makes them look more thin, but all it does it make them look like a tanned fat ass.  which i guess is better than a pale fatass but either way, if you are fat you still lose.
