possible tear?
« on: August 04, 2007, 05:14:55 AM »
hey guys what does a tear LOOK like? I woke up with a strange looking bruise on the inside of my right bicep and DID train arms yesterday. At first I thought it was a stretch mark but it's definately a bruise. I didn't hurt myself on anything yesterday and it's not painful when you priess on it. There is black and blue markings of fresh micro trauma though. If it was a tear, wouldn't I have felt it? Shouldn't it hurt when I flex or do any sort of curling motion?!  ???

IMO the easiest way to know is by how long the pain lasts. I've had things i thought were tears that seemed fairly serious go away in 1-3 weeks. If it doesn't progress back closer to normal in that time it might be more serious and require a doc's assessment. Work around it in the meantime if possible to do so without aggrevating it, or take time off.
