He will probably win but not easily by any sense of the imagination. I had Al Auguste winning the class.
The most potential in this show will come from a guy who won't win his class or turn pro tonight. The guy to watch in the future is Brandon Curry from Tennessee. This cat has a ton of potential and has the best physique in the entire show, he wasn't quite crisp enough to win but will be a pro sooner than later. Someone told me he is only 22 as well.
As much as I like Peter and knowing how much a pro-card means to him in his life, as he feels he's been given a "gift from God" when it comes to genetics, allowing him to be a "pro" and reach out to people, he should not win his class. Auguste matches him in all poses involving the front/side of the body and then just lays the hammer on him in the rear poses. Pete is soft in the glutes and hammies. Auguste has him BAD there. He also has a much better back. I'm not sure how the judging will go, but I think that Auguste is the "wildcard" in the USA's this year that everyone always talks about. He has seemingly come out of nowhere to be at the head of his class. I honestly hate to say this, but, if politics/hype are taken out of the equation, Auguste should win that class. In the front relaxed pose or anything involving back/lats/hammies, Peter just gets destroyed by Auguste. They are about even in everything else. This is just me being objective. I want to see Peter win but I don't think he deserves to beat Auguste. He just doesn't have the complete package from the front and back to beat him. BUT, competitors make friends with judges......

At least neither of them show the DISGUSTING PRESENSE of some of the women's bodybuilding competitors that are there.

Auguste matched him from the front and beat him from the back. BUT, conversing as much as possible and throwing yourself out there for the hype-maching always helps.

There was a lot of disappointment over Cherry's 3rd place placing and he looked pretty surprised himself.
And some major boos from the audiance when Peter Putnam took first in his class.
