what do you do with your meat?

when i buy fish or whatever and it's sitting there in the bag, i put it in the fridge and leave it there til i'm ready to grill it. my girlfriend says this is disgusting and that it should always be kept in the freezer. who's wrong here? i've kept my fish and other animals in the fridge for years.

fresh meat goes bad within 4 days, what kind of meat and how is it cut, we have a butcher on this board, can't remember his handle.

I put mine in the freezer unless I know I'm going to be using it within the next day or so.

Anyone see thenews on the meat plants spraying the meat with CO2 and pumping them full of saline? Damn got to find me a mom and pop store ot buy meat at, everytime you pick out a nice juicy steak get home to cook it, it shrinks up like 50%

With few exceptions, most meats--and especially fish--should be used within one or two days of purchase.  If you have to freeze it for future use, you shouldn’t be buying it yet.  Fish, in particular, is best when it is fresh.  Marinating meat (a steak, for example) overnight is fine, but freezing for days and weeks at a time is a culinary no no.

Ideally, you would go to the butcher or the cannery, buy it, bring it home, and cook it that evening.  That's what I do.  Well, I don't do the actual cooking, but you get the idea.

LOL You guys have a very skewed idea of the IFBB and who competes in it.  You act as if these people are the upper crust of society and BB is being dragged down by them.  Get real.  When they are not on stage flexing for your entertainment they are personal training in a gym, being a body guard, working in an office, making private posing/lifestyle videos, porn videos, escorting, fvcking a grapefruit and everything else. 

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with any of those things but why act as if the “lofty” endeavor of pro body building is somehow being “corrupted.”  And I’m not even talking about the drug dealers, drug abusers, wife beaters, murderers, etc.

About a year ago, people here were singing the praises of a guy I won’t name because of his placing in a contest.  If you only knew what he was doing less than two months before that contest...  This is the world you’ve chosen to be in.  Deal with it.  If you don’t like it, take a long hard look at yourself and ask yourself why you’re in it.
