I'll ask anybody how many more sets they have. If they just started they will usually ask me to work in. If they're almost done, I just wait patiently or move onto something else. People can ask me the same thing and I have no problem with that. Usually they won't work in because the weight I use is usually more than they use.

The gym shouldn't be a war zone for anybody unless it's your a pro. And even some of those guys seem to have the work ethic of a sloth.

'Struth., CARTEL. And from what little I've seen, Bluto is more dedicated and ruder around the gym than our current Mr. O. I can only imagine Jay asking to work in and then being burned by such a tool. I bet Jay would just simply go and do another similar exercise without any fuss.  ::)

no need, it's common sense what it brings.

you can either

#1 mind your own business at the gym. focus on the work ahead of you. and not disturb others.

or

#2 let chaos into your workout, break your concentration, and possibly ruin not only your own workout but others as well.
it's an easy choice for me.
I have never been denied a piece of equipment when I want it.

i leave my headphones on and just pretend i didnt hear them.  fortunately for me i workout mid day when the gym is practically empty and very few people are there to bother me.

 Just a few questions ...
1) Do you own the gym?
2) Do you pay more than the other users?
3) Are you a VIP with special previlages?

not sure if it's the right word but i hate it when people wanna "work in" and take turns doing sets at the gym i dont allow this and tell em NO!

some geeks think thats bad behavioiur and is against the "gym etiquette" but as far as im concerned they can go fuck themselves. i dont work in with anybody and for some reason im always able to finish my workout anyway so why cant others? when im IN THE ZONE i dont want some punk to come and disturb me as im preparing for war and psyching myself up for my 6th set of dumbbell presses!

another thing that is annoying is people asking how many sets you got left. well when i start stripping the plates they'll know im getting there so they dont have to ask!

today at the gym one guy was preparing for benching 4,5 plates per side and one punk ass #### had the balls to disturb him to ask "how many sets you got left bro?" now what the fuck is up with that? how the hell do you get the nerves to ask a big bencher a question like that before his final set? afterwards he did ONE plate per side and struggled like a little bitch!

That benching example sounds irritating. Do you ever need to use a station yourself that someone else is on? Or do you just rearrange your workout?

i rearrange or wait until theyre done, i can see the irritation if someone is doing 10 sets and resting 3 minutes between and there's only one bench, but that rarely happens

and i tend to do exercises most people dont do, dips, chins etc where as in front of the mirrors its more crowded  :D

I usually don't ask members if I can work-in.
If I was on my way home, and needed the bench
for my last sets and you gave me an attitude like that,
I would choke you out and finish my set.

Trying to look like an animal protecting your bench
like it was your doghouse, is just asking for trouble.
