Hi Arvilla - it was an old MuscleMag Int'l interview - he said that ever since he first started training, when he squatted, he would always go forward on his toes such that his heels would come off the ground. If I recall correctly (this is > 10 years ago!), what was interesting was that he said he did NOT usually do the typical trick of putting 5-10 lb plates under his heels, but just squatted like that!!! I.e., each rep, his heels would come off the ground a little! He noted that everyone thought it was weird + dangerous, but he had gotten used to it + had no problems w balance.Sorry - not 100% sure this is accurate, but the overall concept definitely true - it was 1 of the few bb-er interviews where something unique + interesting was said, so it stuck in my head.
