This is a major freak out for us guys too... and I don't recall my wife being a pillar of emotional stability at the time
either ;).

This is scary shit even for The Toughest of Tough guys...

Oscar has been wonderful. I brought a blanket home from the hospital the first night and put it on the dinning room table for him to get a sniff of. I kinda kept him at arms lenght for the first day and kept him out of the babys room. Friday I let him come in for a sniff and he has hardly left his side. Oscar stays just outside the babys room at night and jumps up on the bed when wifey is nursing him and lays at her feet. I think maybe he knows he finally has someone with as much energy as hes got and in a few short years will play ball until he drops  :). I will say this - we had a LONG night last night and the poor guy was so sick of being awaken he ended up sleeping on the couch last night which he almost never does ;D

Hes fine, so far he has been very gentile with the baby. The other night he wanted to play with AJ and laid infront of him and barked until I told him to stop( he has a wicked loud bark). Last night he slept in the babys room beside the crib  :) :)

ok gang here is the little bugger now. The bottom pic is at 25 minutes old the top was taken yesterday at one week. You can see the genetic potential at 18 inches and 5.1 lbs, the next Magnuss Samulesson has arrived

Hes all drugs Stella, I put 2 cc's of oil in each bi and tri yesterday they are up to 2.5 inches already. Hes on  a strict diet of colostrum every 2-3 hours  ;D I think I might try some right from the tap myself 8). Oscar is refusing to pose with the baby but he did try and steal the binki already.
