Just to give you an idea, he has done just over 1100 lbs equipped if my memory serves.  He illustrates quite well that you have to be incredible strong to squat over 1000 lbs even if equipped to the gills.


agreed... for me though a 5 rep lift will always be more impressive... it's just an unreal feat...

1 rep is the closest a man's absolute strength can be tested, because it is the minimum and thus the most effort can be submitted because nothing further is required. ;)

coan did 964 pounds squat at 216 bwt . long time ago . guy from finland whois a 308 ppounder squatted over quadruple bwt . jonas rantanen i think . and anderson repped with 800 pounds in 1957 .

This permabulker at my gym the other day claimed he does 405 for 20 and that his goal by the end of the summer was 225 for 50 ::)
