Getting pot out of my system
« on: August 23, 2007, 03:29:07 PM »
I know, not really bodybuilding related but oh well.
Do you guys know of any supplements that help get pot out of my system. I'm looking for a new job and recently quit smoking. I know there's stuff for a one time quick fix but I'm looking for more getting it out of my system for good.
Thanks!

How much & how long have you been smoking? What's your body type? I mean how much bodyfat do you carry?

Are you going to be drug tested? If so there's various things that can be purchased that will help you pass a drug screen. I can't tell you how effective they'd be because I've never used any of them.

If it's a piss test then buy a whizzinator.  It has never failed me as I have worked at Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Subway.  Currently I work at Red Lobster cuz it was time to grow up and get a real job but yeah dude... I passed everytime!!!!   ;D

You need a job bro?  We are looking for another dishwasher.  I get a lot of overtime but I need some help.

I've been smoked for about 12 years. Yeah, I know, pothead. Anyway. I'm 5'10" about 200 lbs. and a little gut. Not too much fat.
I know of a few things that I can take to pass a test but I don't want to have to worry about random tests after I get a job.

Thanks for the offer windwor, but I don't even like doing the dishes at home  ;D
You had to drug test for fast food resteraunts? Damn! When I worked at Burger King in high school we used to smoke weed in the walk in freezer.

The only thing that can get it out of your system completely is time.  It's stored in your bodyfat, so if you were to workout and sweat like a crazy bitch every day for a week, you'd probably be pretty safe.

As for passing a drug test, I'll tell you this...  Dilluting your urine is the only thing that works.  BUT you can't JUST dilute your urine.  There's two things that a screening company looks for as red flags:

1. If the sample is clear like water, then they're immediately going to think that you dilluted your urine.
2. If they think you've dilluted it, then they're going to test the sample for "Creatinine" levels.  You've got a natural amount of this in your urine at all times.  If you dillute it, you'll have next to none.

The solution?

1. Take a lot of B-Vitamins.  This will make your urine BRIGHT YELLOW!  However, if it's dilluted, it will still have quite a bit of color to it.
2. Drink 10-20 grams of Creatine with all the liquids your consuming to dillute your urine.  This will ensure that the "Creatinine" levels are higher in your dilluted sample.

It's worked twice for me so far.  I drink two servings of Cell-Tech with about 64oz of water and take some B-Vitamins about an hour before test time.  Good 2 Go!  The insulin spike you get also ensures that you won't be releasing any stored bodyfat, which will also decrease the amount of THC floating around.

Excellent points. Sometimes they will count a diluted urine screen as a positive.

well just for passing one i think they used to put a bunch of gelatin+vitamins in the old detox  so that it would coat your insides and then you'd piss water but i'd say at 5'10 200 pounds it'll defintely take you about a month or so to be clean but what if they give you a hair test? but i'd say to pass one a mix of gelatin(i think i remember it being somewhre around 2000mg but you could find a bottle and look at it)+ vitamins + gator-aide(it has some oil in it might be good? seems like it would be) + creatine = easy pass also i remember my friends who have been to rehab talking about being stuck in the sauna's alot cause its supposed to detoxify you but i dunno if thats true........

Thanks for all the advice guys. So if I were to just let nature take its course and not take anything, how long do you think it would take to clear out of my system? I though it was like 3 months or something.

It depends on your body type & such (i.e. bodyfat, etc). Could be out in a couple weeks or a couple months.

When you ask the question “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” you need to take into account the fact that there is no simple answer to this question. Quite simply, it’s argued both that THC never leaves your brain, as well as that there are several different factors which can affect whether or not you test positive for marijuana use.

The speed at which marijuana leaves your body depends both on the speed of your metabolism, as well as on the half life of THC. Unlike most other substances, the half-life of THC can vary quite a bit, depending on who is using it, when it’s used, and several other factors. For example, it’s estimated that THC can have a half life that ranges anywhere from 1-10 days. It’s almost impossible to find out what that half life is, which means that it is very difficult to use it to calculate how long it will take for all of the THC to leave your body.

Not only that, but your metabolism and how much marijuana you smoked will also have an effect on the length of time that it will take before you can test without testing positive for marijuana use. After all, the half-life is only the length of time that it takes for you to lose half of the THC that is in your system. If you’ve smoked a lot of marijuana, then it will take you longer before the THC in your body drops back below the amount that is detectable by most drug tests.

For this reason, when you ask “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” you have to realize that it’s very unlikely that you’ll be able to get a usable answer. The most common period of time is anywhere from 3-30 days, depending on your metabolism and the amount of marijuana that you’ve smoked. This is unfortunate, since it means that while most drug tests can only turn up evidence of other drugs if you’ve been taking the drug within a few days of the drug test, marijuana could still be detected in a urine test up to a month after the last time it is used.

Hair tests are even worse, since your body stores THC in the hair follicles. For this reason, the previous answers to “How long does marijuana stay in your system?” are only useful if you’re going to be forced to take a urine test. For the hair test, depending on the amount of hair that the company takes, it’s possible that marijuana could be detected up to three years after the last time that you smoke. However, I have heard that the standard maximum detection period for a hair test is usually closer to 90 days.

Sorry, forgot to mention that you should ALWAYS dissolve your creatine before consuming...  If it's dissolved, then you won't have to worry about it.  Sometimes I forget people don't know this...
