Bob to joe's rescue  ::) ::)

moron.....it's not to tough to figure it out (for anyone else).

IF Robinson was used to model the physique they used, then that's what it is....modeling....let alone, it's a sculpture, which thousands of models have been used in the same manner for artists for years.

If he was under contract at the time, then he was paid for his services.

So you are saying, Bob, that if Weider contracts to take your picture, then he has the rights to use them however he sees fit, even as going as far as taking his head and morphing it onto your body?  I think it really depends on what type of contract Robby had with Weider and/or with the photographers who took his photos.  The contract may or may not be broad enough to allow Weider to do what he did and Robbie may be contesting that point.

Per http://www.ergogenics.org/robbinson.html:  Robinson "never signed a release form that would have permitted his upper body to have been used as it has been by the defendant."

The real story here is that Joe Weider, the master blaster, the ultimate guru, the father of modern body building, the hawker of muscle building machines and supplements, was using a body double the entire time.  Laughable.  Talk about a bait and switch.  No wonder this sport has no credibility.  :-[

Robby will likely lose his suit, if he hasn't already, but by simply outing Joe as a fraud he has won a larger victory.

Its to be expected of Joe Weider to do this....he took all the bodybuilders' training principles and made it his own and marketed it and made a fortune labeling it as the Weider Principles.

When I was little and read Joe Weider's Mags, I actually thought Joe Weider looked that way but old age set in and that was the reason why he doesnt look like that anymore. Come to find out, he never looked like any of his fantasy photos or paintings. Yet he calls himself the trainer of champions!

His empire was built using other peoples' ideas, bodies, ect...

It was all a lie to add mistique to Joe Weider and to sell his magazines and Weider products...mega mass, life essence, etc...

I mean Joe brought bodybuilding to the mainstream with the help of Arnold but he wasnt what he claimed to be ....I personally dont believe he is the Trainer of Champions...he placed that moniker on himself to make it appear that he has credibility. No one could have stood in his way anyways....he owned the mags and the orginization....screw with him and your career is screwed...

Funny thing about Robbies claim, is that you can see pics of Joe Weider striking that pose back in the 40's....long before RR ever came along...what a joke.

stop dissing Robbie! what's your problem? that robby is much more famous and succesfull bodybuilder than you?
i mean you are great bodybuilder and all but just give the man what he deserves! what that takes away from you? Weider brobably paid Robbie to give up the suit...all done in quiet

For once I agree with Bob...  Robinson's suit is crap.  A complete waste of a court's time.

RR has a right to file, weider should throw some cash at him because that's what this is about.
