Well, i train at home now, and my hams actually started to develop with excersizes like lunges, deadlift and stifflegged deadlift, all those machines didnt do shit for my legs at the gym. The biggest dude in my last gym was black, when he had a tight shirt his arms would scare the shit out ofyou, bigger arms then most pro's, the dude does 400 kg on decline bench, for 10 easy reps, thats like 600 lbs, no shit 10 easy reps dude.
