Presumably the Olympia production team's putting together its final plans around now so I thought I'd put in a few suggestions for Chick and co.
DON'T - get models doing 10 second interviews with competitors between individual mandatories during prejudging - It means you miss the beginning of the next guy's routine and it comes across as really rushed. Plus, these interview girls are so stupid it defies belief.
DO - announce the winner's name (like last year) rather than 2nd place (like previous years)
DO - find some way to include Jamie Eason
DON'T - use Enter Sandman again for prejudging/posedown - its in every damn show
DON'T - let Bob use the phrase 'No doubt about it, Dan' more than once a minute
DON'T - let that preteen fitness girl from the Colorado Pro pose until shes 16
I just watched the 2005 O and it's the biggest damn shambles you've ever seen, from gene rychlak (sp?) squashing himself, to mike adamle, to the challenge round fiasco...it was much better last year but it could still use some pointers. Any suggestions?
