A buddy of mine back in the 90's had a son who was growth hormone deficient, the child  showed a far below average growth pattern.  The Dr. prescibed GH for the child, after various tests.  Today he is still a bit shorter than his peers, but according to his medical records, he did show average growth patterns while on the GH therapy.

I know of  a ceratin IFBB Pro bodybuilder, who was getting their jaw size-jaw- line decreased by surgery....rumor stated, but their are some amazing before-after pics with a huge difference....

Basically, it is a side effect of the use (especially where unwarranted) and abuse of human growth hormones.  Acromegaly is the result of an overactive pituitary gland producing too much growth hormone (think of the gigantism and its attendant effects as shown in the late wrestler Andre' the Giant) and ultimatley results in the continued growth of the ears, nose, lips, hands and feet.  Artificially pumping yourself full of human growth hormone long after epiphyseal (SP?) bone growth has terminated results in your not growing any taller, but quite often you become somewhat acromegalic in appearance.  The effects are, I believe, irreversible. 

I believe that you gentlemen have given this hideous (and in the case of bodybuilders, self-inflicted) condition a name:  Palumboism.
