I could not agree more. Has not been a tall champ since Arnold. Todays guys are short and blocky. Thay pack a lot of muscle yet somehow it all looks lumped up and not usable. In other words, Arnold and the guys of his day could still play sports well while being big. These guys today are so blocky for the small stature that I doubt there is any mobility at all. Todays guys all look the same too. There used to be personality to a guys build. You could tell who was who by an arm shot or a chest shot etc,etc. Can't do that today...........the drugs have melted todays builds into the same mold.
     How does that get judged?

out of the guys in this years lineup...the only two people who could hang with arnolds era would be Wolf and Rockel

everyone else would be a laughing stock in the iron age...Arnold would tear jay a new asshole backstage if he was a competitor back then...he would bust his balls like no tomorrow looking like he did today...hahahahha

I used to be poisoned with the Arnold mindset too and Arnold did have a good physique. I have seen video footage of all his olympias and i have determind the reason Arnold lives on like he does is because he looks soo great in pictures. I was not that impressed with him in video. The fact of the matter is Arnold would have trouble winning a state level show these days.

So you're saying getbigs own "hutch" is at the same level as arnold  ???

I think a lot of it has to do with the 70s era bodybuilders emphasis on natural tanning, and color, and a little transparent oil.  I think with too much the light reflects off differently.
Ever notice those gym shots of Ronnie in 2004 I think, where he looks totally rediculous! Then on stage it is very different. Now it's dream this and pro everything, i would not be suprised if they use BBQ sauce  ;D good ol masterpiece
