Mr. Olympia - This is how it's goin down.

1 Jay C
2 Victor M
3 Dexter J
4 Ronnie C
5 Melvin A
6 Dennis W

I can't see it happening any other way, unless one of these guys improve drastically over night or regress drastically over night.

Dennis Wolf looks amazing.  If I were judging, HE'D be Mr. Olympia.

Thanks Dennis your opinion is duly noted.

MuscleTech - win O-2007 )))

2007 Olympia winner

As the saying goes, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” This past weekend, the reigning Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler raised the Sandow in victory for the second time in a row. Displaying over 275 pounds of striated muscle mass, Las Vegas resident Jay Cutler did what only a few other men have been able to do – earn back-to-back Mr. Olympia titles.

From his first steps on stage, it was obvious that the returning champ had come for one thing – to prove once again why he’s the world’s best bodybuilder. Having added even more size to his signature delts, world-class chest and the sport’s best rear-lat spread, the competition never stood a chance. Although standing among what is being coined as the most difficult lineup in the history of the contest, Jay dominated every call-out and every posedown with his most imposing package ever. He then secured his victory with a posing routine that was both poetic and powerful. And when the smoke cleared from the battle, Jay was again the last man standing atop Mount Olympus!

Team MuscleTech™ would like to congratulate the returning champion, Jay Cutler. There is no title better suited for the man who truly symbolizes bodybuilding both on the stage and off! Jay Cutler is your 2007 Mr. Olympia and indefinitely the preeminent champion for years to come.

All fans and IFBB competitive BB (except Jay of course!) should BOYCOTT the Mr. O. Let them print their tickets for the show...we're not buying cause we're not coming  , let them invite the BB to compete ... Don't show up. Let Jay Cutler compete with Jocelyn Pelletier and Kenny Jones to an empty auditorium. Leave the magazines with the Mr. O contest on the rack. BOYCOTT!!!!

The IFBB seriously needs to look at funding their own competitions and cut out this whole "funded" or "sponsored" events.
How can you have a company like muscletech sponsoring the event, when they have a number of conflicts of interest, Jay Cutler being the most obvious one! The Mr.O and the athletes that compete in it are becoming little more that a marketing tool for the supplement companies.

Now we can look forward to a load of crap Muscletech adds telling us how they helped Jay secure win number two. The only difference is instead of helping Jay by giving him free supplements, they probably gave the judges "supplements" of another kind....the ones that come in brown paper envelopes....

Hmm, seems youre a bit "commercially" naive. The goal of the ifbb responsibles is to make as much money as they can. The ifbb is a like corporation, not like a true sport association. The goal of Mr. Olympia is to promote bodybuilding products (which are useless btw, the usefull products are illegal so they can't sell those), and for this goal they need to set up "competions", but it has to be not too obvious, so they let some small window for competition at the places lower then, who knows, spots 4 and below? Maybe not even that. For example someone who doesn't speak english can't win the Mr. O, cause hes not usefull for marketing.

I think you are correct, and in fact I am both naive and delusional, as for a minute I was thinking that the IFBB was a responsible and legitimate organisation, until you reminded me of the truth lol
The IFBB is more of a tool to facilitate the creation of promotional tools for the supplement industry....ie Pro bodybuilders.
I guess you can liken it to the WWE, in the way that Vince Mcmahon uses his wrestlers as little more than cattle that he can use to generate a million and one ways to make money via ,shows, clothes, vids, ring tones, t-shirts etc, if anything Im sure the supplement companies are dying to make Professional bodybuilding more of an entertainment event rather than the sport its trying to be.

learn to control your disappointment and give credit to the winner and officials they deserve it that is strength of character, put yourself in cutlers place ,the judges did a good job,Martinez waist is wider than cutlers at a shorter height thats a serious flaw he hides with massive v taper but it is there,Jay was on enough when he hit the shots except for outer arms but he get victor on size ,calves .I noticed one extremely odd thing everyone appeared off except the person on the right of the stage or left in photos ,victor spent his time there ,was their some really odd lighting.I bet victoe scared cutler into some decent training and eating this year so.By the way where did victor clearly get the points on jay in your opinion skorpyo.

I know what you mean man... I think the Mr Olympia has turned into a corrupt parody of what real bodybuilding should be like. It's typical that a guy like Cutler can win a trophy. The Mr Olympia isn't the most prestigious title, that is one thing that has been proved this weekend...

I hate to call myself a bodybuilder if Cutler is supposed to be the "best"... Haha give me a break

Quote
Last year was a compromise, both Jay and Ronnie were off, it wasn't a "Best in the World" physique that won.

This year, it was a parody of last year's contest. Jay and Ronnie should have tied for fourth or fifth place. This is so 1980.

Dorian never did anything to market the sport during his reign, and his physique was hardly appealling in the mainstream at the time. He still won!

Until you know the difference between water and fat you should just leave it to the judges.

The thing with cutler is his lats start right where his gluets finish. certain others have a big or huge gap and it's a glaring gap no matter what way you slice it. Traditionally in the last 20 years this is very important it cannot be overestimated (Ronnie got away with a tiny gap Jay has hardly any). He also just has bigger lats and doesn't rely on spreading his shoulder blades and the teres major pushing through from underneath as much as Victor and others.

In short the way the judges do things now Franco Columbo is the shape of back you should seek to emulate not Michael Francois. I hope this helps.

Plus Victors calves are also really high. And for some reason his quad sweep looks alot worse than Jays from the front.

Don't get me wrong they're all great, and Fracois has a good back also thats why I used him as an example. Good low lats are a plus point which have been in fashion with the judges for ages now. And they look great IMO when they're there. Jay has the best therefore it's easy to make a case for him to win, starting with that.

Therefore I can't complain. Don't see how you can. The case for Victor is what just that Jay has afew creases in his lower back.

Boo hoo. His errector spinae also dwarf Victors by the way.

And even then I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that the camera lense has warped Victor thinner in alot of shots. If thats not so you can add.

Because Jay just plain dwarfs him.

I feel that Jay earned his win, but it WAS very close. The judging shows that. Those saying Victor was robbed obviously don't understand the judging system. The judges place the competitors and they are called points. Then the overall score is obtained. There are at least 7 judges or so and the highest and lowest scores get thrown out for each competitor so the 5 in the middle are used.

Anyways, this means that the reason Jay was ahead by two points in the prejudging was not because every judge unanimously placed him ahead by two points. It's because some judges had him in first and others didn't. Some judges actually had Victor first and some even had Dennis Wolf first. The final overall score is what decides the final placings and Jay had enough to win the competition.

This shows clearly that nobody was "robbed." It was a very close competition.

Wolfes Ribcage looks far too small in this pose it lets him down big time? And why is he always shrugging his shoulders?

His quads look exceptional but the lat spread it's hard to judge because it isn't the same pose the others are doing he's pronating and slightly elevating his scaps etc. If you look closely his chest is more caved in than puffed out, he looks wider this way but overall I don't think it's for the better.

I also think he's not inflated his ribs which from the front makes your ribs appear smaller but your lats look bigger.

Victors gone to the other extreme and you can hardly see his lats it just looks like he has a giant beachball for a rib box.

Is this picture a single comparison or did you photoshop it? Jay looks smaller than I remember compared to Vic at least.
