dex and vic looked great dex is awesome but needs to be bigger but Vic is a bigger version of Dex and abuild like that should win the olympia you have size,symmetry,conditioning and balance what else do you need. or you could look at jay and see size and mass no definition on the back or arms and abs that look like there dripping off his body that look wierd as hell , and a more soft look. thumbs down for the olympia judges its b.s.

Haha thats funny. But seriously why does everyone think wolf got robbed? He was not better than the top 3 imo. Cutler is the reigning champ and still has a lot of size on him, Victor looked amazing, and Dexter was probably the hardest guy in the contest. If anyone got robbed it was Victor. He totally owned Cutler. |

i had no favorties coming into this show . but Jay shouldn't of won
my top 3 were wolf,Vic and dex.
any 3 of those guys were better candidates then Jay being olympia.
but politics can change alot and sway judging.

What do all Olympias as far back as Lee Haney not have that Wolf Dexter and Martinez do have? Thats right "Go-go gadget waist".
(no disrespect meant just wanted to say that) There is clearly a leaning towards a muscular physique with muscle crammed onto the frame, it cannot be crammed onto the frame if there is whasted space with no showwy muscles. High lats actually whaste space on the torso and there's no plus point to it. Even short biceps result in better looking peaks but high lats? Theres nothing good about thatand Cutlers lats are lower and more fully developed at the base.
It might not be right or fair but this is the criteria for a long time now. It's probably the most important thing if history tells us anything. Why are you suprised?

All and all can be said over and over again, but seems to me that every Olympia, someone gets robbed. It's like a set of 24 inch rims at a P Diddy concert. Fact of the matter is this, when Ronnie won in the beginning...Flex should have won, couple of years ago Ronnie won, but should have lost to Jay and now this....Victor was truly the best man on stage....Flex and Dexter are alot alike unfourtunatley....there what true bodybuilding is all about....symetry with the mass.....problem is most want to see that crazy genetic freak, because that is what bodybuilding has come to...most bodybuilders bodies have so much sauce in it them that most Italians would be jealous...
The politics need to be taken out of the sport...that's it that's all.....let the man with the best physique win...and we'll be back to a sport we can be proud to call our own again

It just shows the subjectiveness of bodybuilding. Some people think Vic was robbed, some think Wolf was robbed, some think Dexter won. Some agree with the final decision that Jay won. That's 4 different people who should have been Mr. Olympia. unfortunately, only one competitor can win. |

1 VIC (HE GOT JACKED) HE HAD SIZE, SHAPE AND RIPPED
2 DEX (IMPROVED BACK SIZE)
3 WOLF (ONLY THING KEEPING HIM FROM WINNING WAS HE IS NEW, BUT HE COULD HAVE WON AS WELL)
COLEMAN (INJURED BUT STILL CONDITIONED, LOST SIZE BUT CAN BE CONSIDERED BEST OF ALL TIME FOR BODY OF WORK AND SETTING A HIGHER STANDARD)
CUTLER (WAY TOO SOFT ESPECIALLY FOR SECOND OLYMPIA WIN, YOU GOTTA EARN A COUPLE BEFORE RECEIVING A GIFT)

finally someone actually says it..sponsored athletes win whether they deserve to or not!! There are so many better physiques out there, but not "invited" to the Olympia..either you earn a place, or you're "invited" whatever...notice how many guys had no business being up there?? Wonder why many of the perfect or the best physiques weren't there?? Hmmmm I wonder why THAT is?? There seems to be guys who will "pay" the price and others who refuse and stick to their guns and don't get up there...lots of crappy ugly physiques from what I saw, several very good, but an elimination round is necessary!!! I don't believe that someone should be handed the "O" just because he's won it before..Jay was smooth, place him accordingly. Victor looked GREAT, should have been his. But that's not my rant today...my rant is..what happened to actually showing up with the best physique in the best shape with the best EVERYTHING, sponsored or NOT!!!! Each progressive pro show is just getting to be more disappointing than the next. all right, I'm done... |

Jay was crap. A few years ago he looked good, but not now. Wolf owned him. Dex was more ripped and looked as big. Don't believe me, look at them from the side. Dex has better wheels. Regardless, the show is political. They did not want a steroid dealer to be the champ; although he destroyed Gutler. Not even fair. Coleman is old, but he was still more muscular than Gutler.
