Current list of the IFBB Pro shows for 2008... http://www.getbig.com/info/ifbb/ifbb-schedule2008.htmIt is gearing up to be an interesting year, and yes, no Colorado Pro. The first show begins with the Ironman Pro in my hometown of Los Angeles, and it is a top 5 qualifier! It should be a great contest, followed two weeks later by the Arnold Classic. Keep in mind there is no Sacramento or San Francisco Pro between or after the Arnold Classic this year. Joining the Australia Pro show this year is the New Zealand Pro show, bringing another $20,000 into the mix. For those athletes that didn't want to just go for one show, there will be two pro shows out there for the fans. At the New York Pro show on May 10th, there will also be the New York Pro 202 pounds and under on the same day, for the competitors who are overlooked. Here is a chance to shine. In early August, the Tampa Pro show and the Europa Pro Show will be held, both of which will include a 202lbs and Under Men's contest. Two weeks before the Olympia, the Atlantic City Pro will also host a Master's Pro over 35 show. The Olympia will be back at the Orleans in the final weekend of September. This year, we will see a pro show in Japan, two weeks after the Olympia. It should be an interesting year.

The Pro Shows keep on decreasing as each year goes by......quite a few pro shows from last year have been cancelled......because of one reason only......low fan turnout....because the fans are really dissapointed with the judging

It's a great idea bringing more shows to the southern hemisphere.

more shows lost then gained - and those that are gained won't help us as the flight tickets to fly over there are insane. Might be good for the rest of the world.. nothing gained for us.. need to add more shows not remove.

This schedule is good news for several reasons. It restores pro competition for masters men. That has been a sore point for masters competitors earning pro cards at Gary Udit's shows but having nowhere to go to compete with peers. It should bring back some excellent IFBB pros from Europe and other places, as the Masters Olympia did. Also, the trend towards under 202 lb. competition continues and expands. Very good news for those qualifying as pros in lower weight classes than the light heavyweight level. This schedule is more international across the board, & that too is good news. It doesn't matter that much that any particular show is continued or not. There are equivalent new ones for competitors to get to. The schedule is light for women's fitness and women's bodybuilding, but the trend is for figure to dominate now, and a lot of women are shifting over to it.

I was at the last pro show in New Zealand. Ronnie came, Chris cormier came.... it was a disaster. about 100 people came. (pre judge and night show) Im surprised another show is being staged, but Moe Mossawi is co-organiser so I think it will bode much better.

Haha damn dude, I went to that one too - drove all the way down to Wellington 2 days into entering the country, lol! I never checked for bodybuilding updates online back then, but before I got FLEX's Olympia report, I saw Ronnie and thought he looked crazy. Do you remember when Chris Cormier pushed Ronnie forward as they were announcing second place? What's up, DVS?

I only went to the pre-judge and ronnie spent more time off stage than on in the comparisons He kept walking off every couple of mins to eat food! When he did his rear double bi I was in shock I'll be macking the treck up to Auckland for this one....

When he did his rear double bi I was in shock Why? Was that when you realized that you were born to bat for the other team?
