I was in the store today and I saw HOT STUFF for $49.99....I didn't buy it because it was so expensive, but the can felt really heavy like it was filled to the top.....unlike other brands in which the jars are only half-filled (what the supplement companies call "settling")...any body try HOT STUFF?..what does it taste like?...did it do anything?

Ok don't get too caught up in how heavy the can is and whether its filled up to the top or what not.  It obviously has nothing to do with if the product is effective or not.

This products is old as dirt.  I didn't even know they were still making it.  I Googled it and couldn't seem too find their website either.  From the sites that are selling it, they don't seem as if they have updated this product in over a decade.

I personally wouldnt bother with it.  Go get a good protein powder! 8)

Not since 1993, ahh, the memories. That and Ultimate Orange, the original, were the shit. Nothing.Better.Period. Anybody remember Cybergenics? The supplements that came in the pack sucked balls but the routine they included was pretty cool, very similar to HIT.

I haven't used that in almost 20 years! Basically, Hot Stuff was bthe NITRO-TECH of the late 80s/early 90s. It was/is a protein powder, mixed with about a dozen of the most popular supplements at that time. The concept was that Hot Stuff was a one-stop supplement. Instead of buying Boron, Smilax, Orchic, Ginseng, OKG, a separate protein powder, etc., you could just uy Hot Stuff. As more new "wonder supplements emerged, they got thrown into Hot Stuff.

In two short years, Hot Stuff went from being advertised on cheap B&W flyers in gyms and local GNCs in Florida to becoming a nation-wide smash (I remember seeing the flyers in Bally, back then). Other companies started making knock-offs (Real Strong Stuff, Hot Body, Flex Fire, Muscle Stuff, etc.).

National Health Products, the company that makes Hot Stuff, used up-and-coming NPC amateurs and powerlifters from Florida to market their top seller. They did get one IFBB pro as an endorser, Steve Brisbois.

But, their marketing campaign with him consisted of a two-page confessional, in which Brisbois claimed to have sworn off steroid use, after witnessing the death of his friend, Mohammed Benaziza, just after Benaziza won a pro show. From that point, he planned to compete naturally and looked for a company with the best supplements to aid his quest, which of course was National Health Products and its top dog, Hot Stuff.

When MET-Rx came on the scene, Hot Stuff's popularity waned, and eventually, it faded into obscurity, despite numerous revamps. As I remember, the legal troubles came, because Hot Stuff was called an "anabolic activator", which peaked the curiosity of the FDA. To ward off the dogs, NHP simply changed Hot Stuff's category to "fitness potentiator".

I reread what I posted, I meant Ultimate Orange was the shit back in the day, not Hot Stuff, it(Hot Stuff) did suck donkey balls IMO.

Ultimate orange was ok just because it had ephedra in it. Just buy mini thins at the gas staition worked way better.

No way man, I've taken bottles and bottles of mini thins and every other one of those type products and they are good, but Ultimate Orange will always be the best. Maybe its the fact that we can no longer get it makes all the old school guys like me put it on a pedestal, but it was awesome when it was around.

Don't see how a few mg of ephedra (mua hung) could speed buxzz ya better than a handfull of ephedrine hcl but if you say so. :-\  I used to drink that shit before every workout and it was good stuff but didn't compare to the speed buzz of ephedrine hcl...but that's just me.

Who knows what was exactly in the Ultimate Orange though? Duchaine formulated this years ago and I can't remember, but i don't think the ingrediants were ever listed on the side. I think it was out before the FDA required stuff like that on the side of the bottle. The buzz I get from mua hung type ephedra versus ephedrine hcl is totally different. With the hcl I just feal jittery, like a crackhead. With the ma huang, the energy feals less jittery but more functional, if that makes sense. But whatever, to each his own.

I agree about the "different" kind of energy.
