Manuel Bauer 2 weeks out of the international german championships

Only a few weeks ago Manuel Bauer (Gym owner in Grafenwöhr/Germany) decided to defend his 2006 title in the 2007 international german Championships (sanctioned by the IFBB/DBFV).
Last year he won the 90 kg category & overall. This year he`s going to compete in the heavyweight-class (up to 100kg/220 lbs).
But this year it will be very though (some say impossible, i say "wait, maybe") because the actual world Champion Robert Piortkowicz
from Poland (IFBB-overall winner in Jeju, South-Korea) anounced that he will compete in the same competition.

Manuel Bauer is also one of the closest Friends of Markus Becht (see same site, just a bit down) who won the Bronze Medall in South Korea. 3 Pics a few weeks out of the contest......

Yesterday he did the first step. He won the overall Title at the National-Qualifier of "Bavaria" (Erlangen,
near Nürnberg). In his weight class (up to 220 lbs) he won by only 2 Points (2. Andre Niebergall).
The overall title he won 5-0. He competed at 210 lbs (last year he competed in the 198 lbs class), and
hope to peak in 2 weeks at the intern. german championships in Wiesloch (near Mannheim/Heidelberg).

Guestposer was an older Bodybuilder from Arlington/Texas....   (Ron was in good shape)


P.S. on the last pic you could see Patricia (aka Pat, Shana....), which is the girlfriend of Manuel Bauer.
      She`s always 110 % nervous when Manuel (and also Markus Becht) is competing. sorry Pat, mußte sein 
     
After the intern. German-championships Manuel his next goal is to get a team-ticket for next Years
World-championships in Bahrain (220 lbs class), with another new pounds of muscles.....
