Have you read/watch Rob Ager's film analysis of this movie?  Has nothing to do with bad spirits, it's about a girl that was sexually abused.

The Emily Rose movie was scary as hell! Me and 3 of my college buddies watched that movie real late at night. We all got creeped out bad! I had a hard time sleeping for about a week after that one.
