I think it was the Toronto Pro, and he still has yet to be paid for it! :-X

Really, that's sad if it's the case..

Art is also a really nice guy.

Send Jay an e-mail and the reply is:

"Yes."

Send Art an e-mail and the reply is:

"Hey [name],

No problem at all.  Let me know if you need anything else.

- Art"

That little bit of extra effort goes a long way in him coming across as a nice person in my opinion.  In his DVDs he also seems very friendly and my friend met him and thought he was a good guy also.

true, but i can see where jay is coming from here. :-\

there probably isn't a need to email these guys continuously to thank them after you have received your muscle worship service. afterall, you paid for the service and they delivered, end of contract.

would you give lengthy replies to everyone if you got 150 emails?

Really, that's sad if it's the case..

I remember some really big deal (understandably so) over at Mayhem because Art did not get paid for his win, and I think the promoter may have been ex-IFBB pro Nimrod King. There was another show, possibly the same show I'm thinking of-yet getting confused- that Darrem Charles did not get paid for either.
I think this was one of Chick's first moves as the athletes rep- to make sure all the prize money was set up and held prior to the show taking place- that way everyone was paid in a timely matter, with the proper amounts.
It may have been two separate shows that Art and Darrem did not get paid for, or it may have been the same show different occasion- possibly I'm just wrong altogether!!!

Nope...you're not wrong. It was two different shows. Toronto, Florida Pro. Yes, It was one of the first proposals I submitted and it was adopted. ALL purses are guaranteed by the IFBB from the time it was added to the rules, as they should be....

damn

big + to Chick here. doesn't work this way with pro fighting, where you don't get shit until the fight is done and sometimes the promoter, who is usually a criminal anyway, leaves town before you even arrive at the dressing room.

i know you do many things for the guys Chick but, my issue with you is, i have NEVER heard of you once backing a pro bber with a grievance against his employer (ifbb). in fact, you are quick to victimize said bber further it appears eg. Priest.

it's your unabashed nepotism that unseats you credibility in the 'athlete's representative' portfolio.

Your recent behaviour when you thought a business partner's wife was being verbally jousted and you proceeded to threaten banning etc is an example of my point.

you referred to the rules of the board as justification for your actions but, in contrast, when pics and literature are posted encouraging, promoting and laughing at spousal abuse, you don't blink an eye.

hypocrisy with your nepotism sir?

How many grievances do you believe there have been? Not to many I can assure you. You use Priest as an example, as he's the only one you can use....there was nothing to do for Lee as he has his own agenda and wasn't interested in doing the right things to get back in the federation. My job in his case, was to make sure he was being treated as anyone else had in the history of the same offense/ action taken. It was...

Only YOUR opinion...my credability is sound to anyone who knows what goes on, and what I've done for the sport as well as many athletes

I didn't "think" Jay's wife was being verbally jousted...she was. I could care less about the rules of this board...it was bullshit plain and simple, and uncool. It's not my job to police the board 24/7 on alledged spousal abuse, etc. especially among yourselves (nameless, faceless people who more often than not, create their own cause and effect...

hypocrisy with your nepotism sir?

Not at all when you know the facts of what you're talking about...

hmm, Chick, why is it that when you have no comeback you simply say the opposing party doesn't know what they're talking about.

a bit of a cop out?

dissing jay's wife is 'bullshit and uncool' but spousal abuse is ???...

i agree with you on the subject of jay's wife, absolutely, but the arbitrary way you perceive 'rules' is something not consistent with an 'athlete's representative'. it really is that simple, because if you truly were an athlete's rep, representing Lee Priest (hey, lucky for you i'm only citing one example here) would be your focus and not the ifbb's agenda, who also, funnily enough, arbitrarily allocate rulings.

the simple fact here is that you can't provide me with a single case in your entire history as athlete's representative where you have taken the side of an athlete against the ifbb.

i don't have a problem with you personally and i do acknowledge that you are great for promoting pro bbing, but 'athlete's representative' you are not. liaison or spokesman maybe but not 'rep'.
