This is an interesting thread.

I cannot belieeeeeeeve that so many grown men can be so girlishly devoted to a fuckin' bodybuilder they never met (be it Battyboy or Arnold Chickenburger) and who surely would not give a fuck for them if they ever did meet.

It's like listening to schoolgirls comparing Justin Timberlake to David Cassidy.

For the sake of objective argument though, Arnold had a far prettier physique that Nasser, but then Arnold had a better shape than most people. His muscles just seemed to flow together well, a good all-round package, as distinct from a physique that looks like a collection of separate parts.

Nasser's sheer bulk is striking in an animal way, but his huge joints make him look like a wall, a Marvel-Comics freakshow.

Now... Someone said that Arnold had a physique and was cool with it. Not always.

In his Munich days, perhaps after a beer or ten, he would tear off his shirt in a restaurant, flex his muscles. In London and elsewhere in England, during the year between the '66 and '67 NABBA Amateur Unis, he used to flex his arms and declare them the largest arms in the world (predating use of the same phrase by Hulk Hogan LOL!) They may well have been, until Lou Ferrigno came of age and crashed the size party. But it's a tad-bit puerile to go around boasting about it, don'tcha think?

Does the above sound like being 'cool with it'? I think not.

That was of course his youth. He went through a relatively cool phase in the mid-to-late Seventies, the floppy collar-length hair, the tight shirts, jeans and cowboy boots. And the first half of the Eighties, with his spiked hair and tongue-in-cheek muscle movies. Also significant was his maintaining about 210lbs hard-ish, so that he looked relatively normal in clothes, getting regular movie roles as opposed to always being a BBer.

(Briefly returning to Nasser, that's the difference between a modern-day monster BBer and say a retired Arnold or Dave Draper. If you're 6' plus and weigh 200-240, you can get away with wearing suits. If you're a Nasser, a Markus Ruhl or a Ron Coleman, sub-6' and weighing over 300, wearing a suit makes you look like a clown, no matter how well tailored that suit may be)

Back to Arnold, and for the past twenty years or so, he's been anything but cool. Tinting his hair for a start. Men tinting out grey is a big pet puke-out of mine, and the older a man gets, the more pathetic it looks. I think there's something far more dignified and distinguished about a natural, steely-grey look. It matches the ageing skin of the face.

Then there's the vanity surgery. You can have too much of a good thing. That first facelift is a greasy pole. Like Mariusz Pudzianowski... LOL!

And lastly, Arnold's mincing his words over his past steroid use. Some of the horseshit he expects the world to swallow. Like the heart-valve thing was due to a 'congenital defect'. Yeah right, and I'm Miss Piggy.

Best of all was his statement that he'd used steroids only to maintain muscle while cutting for a contest. The implication being that he built his 235lbs on chicken alone.

Wouldn't it be more dignified to remind the press and the world that his gear use is none of their business?

Unbelieveable. Definitely not cool.

Everyone who says Arnold's physique is better than Nasser's has still not addressed my earlier claim that Nasser had Arnold's proportions when he was only 25 and working out seroiusly for about 5 years.  Further, Nasser grew and improved much since then, eventually putting him in a different league than Arnold.

A physique fads, as evident by Nasser late in his career having to use synthol in one of his former strongest bodyparts. Arnolds Legacy will be around for a long time.

AussiePro, you are a nuthuggin' guy and three-quarters. What do you mean back to the thread? Was I not discussing Arnie in a thread named Arnie Pics? Did I not continue the Arnold v Nasser theme?

I thought it was comprehensive and fair. Clearly pointing up Arnold's personality flaws sticks in your craw, you being the dirtbox-licking, fawning, obsequious, calflike shitbag you so clearly are.

That pic of Schwarzenegger at Sydney. Was that from his trip to the '80 Olympia, wherein Arnold made such a blatantly poor showing yet 'won' anyway, that the Aussie crowd showed their appreciation by jeering, chanting Bull-shit! Bull-shit!, and lobbing chairs at the stage in disgust? LOL! Good old Australians, eh? If such a farce had taken place in Los Angeles, no doubt the crowd would have cheered Arnold! Arnold! like obedient little droids.

The fact that none of the fun 'n' games found its way onto the video or later DVD of the show, is a testament to the fact that you, AussiePro(stitute) are not the only wanker to jam his head up Arnold's hallowed asspipe.

You poor deluded prick. Shoot yourself.

LOLOL!

ill address it.If Arnold kept competing into his mid 30s without that 5 year break he would have won alot more than he did, Nasser went way into his 30s and won nothing , id say Arnold was in a much higher league ;D

AussiePro, I've remembered who it is you remind me of... You know that silly young booby who used to follow the teenage Arnold around back in Austria? The one who Wendy Leigh referred to as Mr R?

The one who spent a couple of weeks eating nutshells and salt on Arnold's advice, wound up breaking out in spots, maybe in a hospital, if you believe the fables.

Is he your grandfather, mate?

And i'll tell you who you remind me of, your the guy who comes to the gym who gets all dressed up as if you were going out to a club, sets everything up on a bench press and loads 100 pounds and cranking out quarter reps yelling at the top of your lungs. Then waiting 10 minutes between sets and watching all the bigger people in the gym and saying shit like there all drugs or there nothing compared to me (meanwhile you only weigh 60kgs = 130 pounds).
then going home and measuring your massive 13 inch arms and crying to your mum that they haven't grown in years, so then you procede to get on the internet and try to bash people who actually go to the gym and have something positive to say about the world.....
Oh and i know what your gonna say next...MELTDOWN, hahah you loser

You didnt address shit, sorry, lol.  The reason Arnold won more shows than Nasser is because the competition was much less fierce in Arnold's time - has nothing to do with his physique being better.  Using that logic one can say "Frank Zane and Larry Scott had better physiques than Victor Martinez, Flex Wheeler, Kevin Levrone, etc." becauset hey won Mr. Olympia titles.

I did acknowledge earlier that it's not really fair to compare physiques of pro bodybuilders from today to past generations, but am doing so since nuthuggers are still claiming that Arnold's physique in the 70's looked better than Nasser's in the 90's.

You can tell he's very lean from his forearms, calves, and lower quads that are exposed.  Leaner than one has to be at that size to have visible abs.
