actually they stopped charging me for mine since when my last one broke i'd simply walk into the gym ....i refused to pay for a new one..

anyhow i see em charge other people ...

i dont have a travelling membership...then i just pay for the day... $:-\$ thats if i forget to ask the manager at my gym to make me a travel pass.

its either 10 or 15..i forget...i think it depends of whether its corporate or privately owned...

every gold's is different. mine doesn't have beep thingies. mine has a barcode tag, but you can also just give them your number or even your name.

Um when you scan the barcode tag it beeps, therefore beep thingy.

ours doesn't beep, we hand it to the guy behind the counter, he scans it and compare the pic on the computer screen

but yes, my gym replaces them for free

actually we have a mexican behind the counter that yells out beep everytime the pic on the putter matches!

Ballys does the same thing. I love it when I go in and my card doesn't scan because the bar code wore off after a whopping 3 weeks and when the front desk monkey offers to give me a new card for a mere $10 I say "No thanks, I'm jewish.. just type it in."
