That is a talking point heard often, but not really based in fact.

Obama called for hitting areas of Pakistan where AQ reside, and he was mocked for it by the repubs.  last week. Bush ordered strikes in pakistan to get AQ #3 man.

Obama has said we'll have forces in Iraq indefinitely to protect our bases there.  he reserves the right to move as we please in that country to stop terror - an extension of the Bush doctrine actually.

Obama wants to move troops from Iraq to Afghanistan, Africa, and Pakistan, in order to kill Bin Laden and take out AQ where it is unchecked.  There aren't training camps in Iraq - but they sure exist in pakistan.

Obama doesn't scream like Mccain, who promises "100 years of war" to give the neocon voters a boner.  But he doesn't flipflop like mccain either - mccain said 2 days ago that we'll be out of iraq "soon"... WTF?  100 years becomes "soon" the minute he nails down the republican nomintion, huh?  Nice!

To me, it looks like obama is all about killing al quida all over the world and keeping forces in iraq.  To me it also looks like Mccain just got kinda soft to pander to general election voters.

The Coach - thoughts on this one?  Obama is tougher on Al Quida than McCain is...

I don't know what poll Stark saw, but the current polls have them tied. A couple weeks ago, Obama was ahead.

Like I don't understand why you conceal and carry, I don't understand why the average American places such a high value on "security"

It's far more likely that the average American will lose their house/retirement than be the object of a terrorist attack.

And I don't understand why the average American thinks that someone like McCain would be better on security.... because he sang "Bomb Iran"?  WTF?

People say "A black man can't be elected president".

But a black man *has* won ten straight primaries by a margin of 33% over a very well known and experienced Clinton.

Times change.  Some things are "just so" because we've heard them for so long.  In reality, people care more about health insurance (Obama will insure 100% of children in America) and recession (McCain plans to continue borrowing and Bush tax cuts for wealthy) way more than they care about color of skin.

ok gimmick MBA

since when is a caucus a primary? they are two fundamentally different vehicles.

we will also have   Ralph Nadar       indpend. party
                          Cynthia McKinney green party
                          a libertarian
                          a socialist
besides the republicans and democrats

Yes, some are caucuses and some are primaries, they involve attendance at set times vs traditional voting.

I would love for there to be a 5 or 6 relevant party election.  I'm a fan of nadar and a fan of Mckinney.  Despite being obnoxious, she was one of the first people to reveal bush was told about 911 ahead of time and let it happen.

However, they won't get money or TV time or poll coverage, and 99.9% of voters won't know who they are.

So for all practical purposes, they are irrelevant.  I'd love to see one of them get in, but it's an exercise in futility to believe they will.  The only exception - an independent run by someone with a lot of money - a Bloomberg/Ron Paul ticket for instance.  There is still time.

she's an obnoxious fool who played the race card, yes.  She didn't follow procedure and blamed race for her selection.

However in many areas, like taking care of the poor, she's one of the few people in DC who cared.  And she was blackballed by the media for continually demanding Bush answer why he was warned of 911, six weeks ahead of time, and did nothing.  Pretty big.

He's actually not a muslim, he's a christian.

And to be honest, if a fcking satanist promised to fix the economy and keep us safe, he'd get elected.

recession is here, borders are wide open.  whatever we've been doing for 8 years (which mccain has promised to further for 4 more years) just ain't working.

He was raised in a Muslim home. He change his faith at the age of 27, he's Muslim. I think Clinton would do a better job.

You cannot assign who he is and isn't.

There are many ways to discredit someone. Deeming Obama a muslim because his father was from a muslim family doesn't make him one.

You'd be better for it if you'd learn to think independently, friend  ;) .
