The comScore World Metrix panel says that 694 million people currently are online.

So the capture rate jumps a lil bit among potentials.

Let's see...  117,000 divided by 694 million equals 0.0001.

Mathematics trumps "demographics".

I guess anything webcast would fall into the same mathematics then....

If there are 117,000 people watching it online, why isn't it on T.V.?

Anything webcast has more potential viewers than anything broadcast.

That doesn't change the fact that 694,000,000 people could have watched your little webcast, and 693,883,000 of them chose not to.  :D

You're wrong. That 693,883,000 got the results through Muscle Phone, which is why they didn't bother with the webcast 8)

I anticipate seeing "Lift Studios" on the annual Forbes World's richest people list.

You could only make that claim if 693,883,000 people were aware of it in the first place...

I doubt they were all unaware.  According to a certain IFBB pro athlete's rep, the webcast was very well advertised:

It's been advertised here on Getbig, Bodybuilding.com, IFBBpro.com Muscle mayhem, Flexonline, hell... even MD had notice of it.

Every wek since we started the new season of PBW, ads in the Magazines, and Ironman/ Arnold video series featuring the athletes prepping for both shows.

Wouldnt being aware of it relate to marketing, exposure...ect...?  Meaning that our sport is not very known at all...haha

In all fairness, Bob, during and before the webcast, I was the only one posting the link on the forums.  I'm sure it was pinned somewhere in the myriad of boards and threads and posts.  But on 'Gossip', the place where all the cool peanut gallerians hang out, there was no obvious "Click here to View the Live Arnold Webcast" option til i posted it.

For occasional board perusers or those who are too busy to search thru all those places, the times and links weren't obvious.  It's a commonly overlooked yet easily fixable thing.  I'm sure there were a few hundred or more getbig readers who missed it because of this.

Thank you 240, I don't visit bodybuilding.com or muscle mayhem like Chick said.  I was looking on the boards, and did not see it. I was disappointed because 2yrs ago I watched Jay win his 1st "O' on the webcast, and it was advertised here on the boards.  Usually it has been boldfaced on the boards advertising it.  So instead of Chick slammin me for not knowing, he should suck it up and just say sorry we didn't post it where WE Have on Every Other Webcast.
Most are all show no go!

Yep.....all within our demographics.

As i said above...probably not very well advertised then huh.  Imagine the money Flex and M&F brings in.  Even a single serious of TV commercials would boost ratings and attraction by a large amount.  Maybe not even as fans, but freaks draw attention.  There will be the select few who become fans of the sport.  Point is...itl grow....and so will the money brought into the sport from this.....it CAN grow...if they REALLY cared to make it and put the money back into the sport....

First off, were a company, interested in promoting business to the company as well as the sport itself..that's why we do what we do for the fans...

THat said, the numbers have increased dramatically since we started webcasting shows 2 years ago, as have the video series, and every content filled page associated with professional bodybuilding. You're right...it can grow, and it IS.

There is a plan in place, and it is being realized one step at a time...

Hardcore BB accounts for about 5% of our total business, that leaves a 95% market thats related, that is where my interests lie in obtaining new business and fan base. Gotta make fans FIRST...then you can turn it into $$$$.

Bob's just copying verbatim one of DeLuca's recent memos.  It's not like he has any original thoughts.

The webcast link should be pinned in G&O.

I always come to it late and struggle to find it in the requisite 1 minute that it should take.

I find that getbig is sufficiently informing.  I do not visit MD, mayhem, flex, milos board or bb.com because of how informing this site is.

Alexa doesn't represent anything but trends.  Only the admins of sites know their own traffic details.  Alexa uses data compiled from people who run the toolbar/plugin or whatever to provide information about their browsing habits to them.
