So in other words your one of the typical gym members that goes into the gym, appears to be training hard, yet you never make any noticable physique changes and you don't look like a bodybuilder - yet always make remarks about how you got good results from such and such routine/exercise and asking the bigger guys what supplements they take.
Hah, you're wayy off.
I'm a guy who lifts weights, makes slow but solid progress and never takes it so seriously that if I had to go back to just doing that, that it would be hard to be enthusiastic about being very basic (and obviously, not progressing as fast as I could do if I were expending more energy).
I never speak to big guys about supplements, I only use one supplement and that is the occasional creatine. I don't talk about my weightlifting to anybody other than my gym partners. I don't wear tight shirts or give a shit about anything like that. Just trying to lift more weight is a constant novelty to me.
If you want to go all out thats your thing, I'm all about still being enthusiastic about lifting weights when I'm geriatric. You won't find me ever saying I'm sick of it all because I was 300 pounds when I was living a 24/7 bodybuilding lifestyle and now that I'm 180 and clean I have no motivation.
