Great report Moose. So overall, would you say you were entertained by the show? Did any of the posing routines give you any of the excitement comparable with a Zane, Corney, Mentzer or Coe routine?

Thanks Chem.

Hmmm....well, I was happy to see a few of the guys actually translated what they truly felt entertainment should be to the audience through posing.

Of course, there were Wayyyyyy too many guys popping and locking, posing to whiney ballads and rap that have nothing to do with entertaining the ppl in a bb sense.

You know...they pose to songs THEY like...doesn't mean it is relevant bb wise.

We once had a guy pose to something by 'Zamphir and His Pan Flute'...I kid you not. He liked Zamphir...but noone in the audience did, needless to say.

Entertained overall?

I'd have to say, "Yes.."

My expectations are not nearly what they were back in Zane et al days...so we make of it what we can

yeah, we very rarely get in-depth reports like this.

You honestly have to wonder... why don't the mags have all their guys write reports like this, and post them on every board?  Moosejay's report makes me want to attend a show.

Option D

Wow...you guys are too kind and since I won't bore you with how shitty I feel today I will tell you that your praise has lifted my spirits.

I am a trained copywriter, but not in the sense you think (I trained under Dan Kennedy...for anyone privy to the marketing world)....I write guerilla marketing pieces.

Its the type of writing that, "Packs a lot of punch..." and gets results.

I tried to do the contest report in a vaguely similar style...thus...diff from what the mag guys write.

Thanks again for your praise...it was fun!

many men wake up following a bodybuilding show and feel used, dirty, greasy, and anally unstable.

Perfectly normal bro!

I did lightly place my hand on Ben's tricep, and very graciously stated that I was very sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to borrow Evan for one tiny sec, so on and so forth...
Mike ya had me till this line.  :-\ You effectively came across as a schmoe. Tre would be proud.

J/k - thanks for the report and agree with most of your assessments.

He has been around for a long time...early 90's, maybe before that...

Ha...thanks lift.

I knew there'd possibly be some contention if I wrote those lines...

I couldn't see too close due too seats, and didn't know a lot of the guys, so I was a bit cursory in some of my assessments.

Mike :)

Moose, good stuff here. I hope I don't f**** it up for ya.

A friend of mine used to pose to the Three Stooges Theme song and it went over great in ever contest he used it in. And most of his family, friends, and fans demanded that he use it again and again even though he himself didn't like it any longer.

Thought you'd might like to hear that!

Ah yes, The Three Stooges Posing routine. I saw that guy. First he came out with the  'Moe" bowl haircut, then after he hit a few shots, he jumped into the judges table and began to slap the judges in the face like they were Curly, then one judge stands up and he pokes him in the eyes, punches him in the belly and rips out a handful of the guy's hair. Then he jumped back onstage, hit a most muscular and screams, "Why I Oughta...." Best routine I ever saw!
