Seems if SATC made that much opening weekend, then The Sopranos would be a no-brainer for the big screen.  David Chase(creator) can definitely be bought imo as could the cast obviously, other than Steve Buscemi, who got killed off, there is not one legitimate movie star that I can think of. I have heard rumblings of this before but I think they will pick up now, what do you guys think, should they make a big screen Sopranos or would that tarnish it's reputation?

I think the show's legacy would be tarnished a bit. People just can't let go. The series is over, folks. Done. Get over it. If the decision to bring the show back for a one time movie is exclusively money motivated, then I doubt the quality of the movie would be that good to begin with.

The Sopranos was an ongoing series of episodes over a lengthy timeline. What could they possibly cram into a two hour movie that could satisy the diehards?

Besides, most of the good characters were killed off in the show's last season.

Christopher, Bobby Bacula, Silvio are dead. Uncle Junior is a vegetable now. The characters left over are boring, with the exception of Paulie Walnuts, Carmella and Tony. Who cares about annoying Meadow, Janice, and that little pussy, AJ?

no I wouldn't want to see it now. I liked how it ended in the first place.

looking back, the final season parts I & II was pretty bad. It had it's moments. Not that great compared to other seasons. HBO needs to come up with something new. With the Sopranos ending and The Wire finished only good shows to watch now are The Shield, Dexter and Breaking Bad.
Entourage won't be back for awhile.
