Yea I imagine he gets like 700g carbs, 200g fat, 100g protein.
I remember they followed him in 2004 and had the camera on him at Mcdonalds.  He ate stacks and stacks of pancakes drowned in syrup.

They estimated breakfast at 6500 calories in pancakes alone!  :o

Yep. Especially moderation.  ;)

I took me an hour to respond and I'm still confused  :D

It will get tougher and the progress will come slower the leaner you get.
I do think one can make it tougher on themselves and not realize it.  Here is what I mean.  If you start out eating ultra low calories and high cardio over time your body will adapt somewhat to the caloric level and cardio.

This is kind of shooting yourself in the foot as your adaption point has been set so high from the start thus any alteration will seem drastic.

The trick is to not make it so tough early on.

Benjamin Franklin's Thirteen Virtues.
1. TEMPERANCE. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.

2. SILENCE. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
3. ORDER. Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
4. RESOLUTION. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
5. FRUGALITY. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
6. INDUSTRY. Lose no time; be always employ'd in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
7. SINCERITY. Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
8. JUSTICE. Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
9. MODERATION. Avoid extreams; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
10. CLEANLINESS. Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloaths, or habitation.
11.TRANQUILLITY. Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
12. CHASTITY. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dulness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation.
13. HUMILITY. Imitate Socrates.

In this piece it was my design to have endeavored to convince young persons that no qualities were so likely to make a poor man's fortune as those of probity and integrity.

My list of virtues contain'd at first but twelve; but a Quaker friend having kindly informed me that I was generally thought proud; that my pride show'd itself frequently in conversation; that I was not content with being in the right when discussing any point, but was overbearing, and rather insolent, of which he convinc'd me by mentioning several instances; I determined endeavouring to cure myself, if I could, of this vice or folly among the rest, and I added Humility to my list).

In reality, there is, perhaps, no one of our natural passions so hard to subdue as pride. Disguise it, struggle with it, beat it down, stifle it, mortify it as much as one pleases, it is still alive, and will every now and then peep out and show itself; you will see it, perhaps, often in this history; for, even if I could conceive that I had compleatly overcome it, I should probably be proud of my humility.

Its relevant depending on your activities or goal.  For instance, you wouldn`t expect Michael Phelps lets say to eat a High Protein, Low carb, Low fat diet.

he eats 12000 calories a day

people can jog that comfortably in 30-40 minutes, so that doesn't seem that much.

wow, how many hours of swimming does he do a day?

Well, yesterday with two finals and the cool downs and warm ups, they had him at 8,000m, which is about five miles.

They said he swims for around 5 hours on training days and lifts as well.

Who is that....he's not natural.

There is no such thing as natural bodybuilding.
TA doesnt call himself a bodybuilder, that is why he is a great natural.
