Did he claim "lean" or just that he's "leaner" than at 250?  My guess is that he's still way too chubby for the beach, never mind a Getbig pic.

Ummm…genius, I didn’t claim that I could bench 405 at a bodyweight of 235. In fact, I specifically said that I’ve never tried that.

It was nearly three years ago (Sept 1, 2005, to be exact; I posted it on a Getbig thread, after I pulled it off). At that time, my bodyweight was 252, NOT 235.

Nor did I claim that I was “lean”, when I did it. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons that I STOPPED using one of my favorite weight gainers is due to the extra fat I put on while bulking up in 2004 and 2005. Yes, I reached my size and strength goals. But, my waist took a beating for it. I could barely see my abs; the handles got thicker, and my arms didn’t have a biceps and triceps. They were just two big limbs.

I mentioned that two years ago on the Natual Bodybuilding forum, LONG before you ever came to this site, Deicide.

And, O ye in desperate need of “Hooked on Phonics”, the quote of mine that you woefully misused says that I’m a “LEANER” 235. That is, I’m leaner now than I was at 252. I estimate that my current bodyfat is 19-20%. That, O blubbering one, is “leaner” than the 25% or so bodyfat I was carrying at 252.



Unlike you,  I didn’t (and don’t) blubber about how poor my genetics are or sing woe-is-me songs, putting on sackcloth and ashes upon reaching my 30th birthday, as you’ve been doing for months. I do the best I can with what I have. To date, every goal that I once thought I’d have to use steroids to achieve, I’ve reached WITHOUT THEM.

No bleating, no excuse-making!!!

Now, the challenge for me is to replicate the size and strength I had, minus the 40+ inch waist or the mega-sized rump I sported back in ’05 (although my wife digs my big booty).

Even 235 at 19% is impressive; and you said you can nearly put that much up at this weight as well...at 5 foot 9 inches...you must be a genetic freak...post a pic...

Again, get the “Hooked on Phonics” tapes and let this settle in your skull. I have benched 405 lbs. ONE TIME: Sept. 1 2005, nearly three years ago. My bodyweight at the time was 252 lbs, when I did it. I have NOT tried it since then. My bodyfat level at that time was at least 25%.

As of last Thursday, my bodyweight is 234 lbs, with an estimated bodyfat level of 20%. That, enlightened one, is “LEANER” than the 25%+ I was sporting three years ago. To date, I have not attempted to bench press 405 lbs. I may do so in the future.

You guys act like 405 lbs is alot to bench,lol.Plus 235lbs naturally, is very attainable.
Right now I havent done a cycle in over 2 1/2 years, I am 245lbs lean, and I can bench 405lbs for atleast 7-8 reps.
If I pushed myself I could probably push 500 for 1.
Its all in your genetics, and tendon strength.Just because your natural doesnt not mean you cant get big or strong.If you have good genetics, and all of your family memeber are big, then you will most likely be big.
I seen a big 260lb kid bench 450lbs at 18 years old, and was totally clean.He also cleaned 350 lbs over his head.
He is the national high school weight lifting champion.My friend John trains him, the kid is a totaly freak.
He is about 270 lbs, real stocky, not lean, but strong as crap, and he is totally clean.

Genetically gifted? If I am such, those gifts came late. Keep in mind, I did this at age 32. It’s not as if I was pushing that kind of weight as a teen in high school.

Deicide loves to complain about how he got the shaft when it comes to genetics. Now that he’s 30, he’s been singing the “I-can’t-gain-no-more-muscle” blues for months, posting scores of threads, lamenting his alleged plight.

Posting a picture proves little. Either he will claim that it’s not me, that my stats aren’t what I say they are, or if he does believe that I'm 5'9", 234 lbs. I'm not natural (as in no steroids, HGH, insulin, clenbuterol, etc).

This is about his feeling sorry for himself, when there's no need for him to do so. My stats and religious beliefs have nothing to do with the equation.
