She seems like an awesome mom, a great person, and a good governor.

Do I think she is prepared for the toughest job on the planet?  No.  I think the ticket is lacking on economic common sense.  Mccain admits he is weak on economy.  She has a journalism degree and 18 months (minus vacation) of being governor.  Do I believe she is prepared to run the US economy?  No.

Rob, you are not discriminating against those with cancer, are you?

mike, you sound like a crying liberal here.

stop trying to 'be offended' and look at facts.

Mccian has had 2 serious bouts with cancer and is continually undergoing procedures.  We don't know what his current status is, because throughout history, politicians have regularly lied about their conditions.  There is no punishment for lying about medical conditions, so we don't know.

Do I believe that a 72 year old man with health issues will serve 8 years?  I do not. I believe he'll reture before then.  If he does, she will take over.

I think she's very nice, and the more I watch her, the more I like her.  I just don't think she bring any economic power to this ticket.   He should have chosen Romney.

Hilarys Dems are pro Choice, this chick is anti abortion...

McCain is looking for those Democrat P.U.M.A. voters. And, he may get a handful of them. If he does and enough social conservatives/evangelical Christians get fired up and go for McCain/Palin, the Democrats may REALLY end up being "blue".

she runs a huge sized state, not a seat in washington. obamination is over.

(all numbers from census.gov, first two 2006, next two 2000)

Population of Alaska:  670,053

Population of it's largest city, Anchorage:278,700

Population of Wasilla, the city she was mayor: 5469

Btw, my father was once the mayor of Aniak, Alaska, population: 572.    I think he may have ran for state legislature once too.    (he and my step-mom moved to Alaska when I was 11)

She has MINIMAL experience.

18 months as governor of a cold state.  Minus two summer vacations.

it's a poly to grab all the hilary voters, and the young voters who will vote for a hot mom.

If she gets in... wow.. she has no experience...

ZERo foreign policy experience.

She was a small town mayor 4 years ago.

Mayor of a city of 9000 people... more people saw her today with mccain than lived in the city she was mayor of...

you know who PUMA voters are?   1) Washington insiders who were going to get plum jobs in the new Clinton administration, and 2) Republicans trying to stir up trouble.

Sorry Tim, we have two different views on Roe vs. Wade and it has nothing to do with religion. I see Roe vs. Wade as legal birth control by way of murder. Life starts at conception (fact). A womens right to choose shouldn't include just because the mother is too young for example to také care of a child it should be aborted....that's commonsense. Liberals tend to ignore commonsense when it comes to this. The" I'm too young" or "the child is handicap" or whatever is a horrible excuse for the right to choose extremists. It absolutely be overturned and I hate to use a cleche' but, what choice does that child have?

What the hell was he thinking??

Seriously, she's been governor of a relatively small uncomplicated state (population-wise) for two years, and before that she was mayor of some small town (was it even a paid gig?)...   she's so green she makes Obama look like an experienced statesman.  ::)

He want's to pick a woman that's fine, I have no problem with that and it might be a wise move to snag more of the moderate votes, but there are many republican women out there far more qualified.

I respect goatboy's opinion on this issue big time.

He's a mccian voter.  Most of them are blindly claiming this woman is more experienced than anyone else in the race (uhhhh?) due to party allegience.

Huge, huge risk.

Maybe McCain really doesn't want to be President and did it intentionally to throw the election.

i think it's a huge risk that'll either win the Hilary voters, or lose all confidence in him.

He knew that by state-by-state polls, he was losing this race.  http://pollster.com/ had him getting creamed in the electoral vote by 80... Common sense - and Intrade gambling - say there's only a 40% chance he can win.

Hilary TRIED to win on experience over change.  People voted for change.
Mccain is smart enough to realize he will lose to obama using experience too.

So, he decided to suddenly be the 'change guy' too.  Palin's use of hilary's glass ceiling refernence, saying the girls have one last chance, means her presence is more about her gender than her positions.

Can any woman with 5 kids (one disabled) devote herself to the toughest job on earth?

Let Obamma ask that question on record and see him be stoned to death by every woman in the country

I always thought it would be funny if a group of scientists got together and protested to teach scientific fact in churches.
