On pressing movements (bench, military, skullcrushers, squats) NO

I think people should go deep as possible for squats.

I meant I go all the way down and get a full stretch of the muscle and then come back up about 95% of the way to keep pressure off of the joints and on the muscle I am trying to stimulate

By using proper form and full ROM, you're (theoretically) stressing the muscle to its fullest capacity.

By limiting the ROM and using improper form, you're asking other muscles to take over from the targeted muscle, and stressing less fibres of the targeted muscle group.

What does the targeted muscle do.....take a break?

If you are going heavy enough for ancillary muscle groups to be taxed it would stand to reason the primary muscle group is getting worked pretty hard

I didn't say the ancillary muscle groups would be taxed; just that they would take over. In a cheat barbell curl with the elbows swinging back and forth, gravity isn't as strong with your upper arms parallel to the ground at the finishing point, nor with the momentum and the help of your anterior deltoids swinging them up to help move the bar. The biceps are handling more weight for about 1/4 of the ROM, when they could handle just a bit less for the entire ROM.

Cheat curls are better for many than strict, i think someone named Arnold believes this.

As far as injury, sometimes complete ROM are harder on the connective tissues. As far as "stressing the muscle through the entire range" there's not much proof that this is necessary or that it makes a difference.

I think some who favor full ROM just think that it equals harder work and therefore a better workout, which isn't necessarily true.

also say ppl who bench from chest to half rep...say than can do 315x5...I would be extremely surprised if they could bench 340 properly full ROM...whereas a 315x5 done properly might get 355lbs

full range and strict form is important when you are first starting out...Not until you understand the contraction should you then swag away from it...Then you will never look back...

I know a guy in the gym at golds in pheonix the personal trainer told him to go low as possible on squats so now what he is a squat, sits down indian style, then comes back up though he does not do much weight, but its intersting to watch him come back up and down from standing to indian sitting BRUTUAL  ::)

Partial reps from stretched position are useful.  I like doing full ROM to failure, then finishing with partials.
