At the gym I train at, there's a man named Steve who used to be a top-ranked NPC bber and would train other competitors too (diet, gear, ect...) He was actually Kevin's guru for a few years, and yes, he said that Kev had the BEST genetics ever. He said that kevin would not even go to the gym or eat more than 2 meals a day till 10 weeks out or so (at least he would do this during this point in his career). The he would hop on gear and GH (less that most of the competition had been taking year round) and gain like 20-30 lbs. of muscle while cutting down to 3% bf. He said every day he would see Kevin, he couldn't believe how quickly he would change. He said Kevin should have won 10 Olympias. He also said Kevin was VERY lazy and "dumber than a bag of rocks" in terms of dieting and training. He said he actually had to pay the worker at the front desk of the gym they trained at to call and tell him whether or not Kevin was there in the morning doing his cardio... which he would often skip. In terms of strength though, he said the only bber he had ever seen as strong as Kevin was the young Chris Cormier... he said Kevin would go as high as 585 for 6 reps on the bench press and hack squat 10 plates a side.
