true story, a few weeks ago i was benching and when i got to 315 a guy asked me if i needed a spot. totally casually, and not thinking, i said "nah dude, it's only three plates". he looked at me like i was a jackass, and it didn't occur to me until after he left how unbelievably cocky it sounds to shrug off 315 on the bench like "why would i need a spot for that?"
yo bilderass, that sounds a lot like dave tate's theory that if your legs are strong enough to jump up onto a curb you should be able to squat 300 pounds. i'm a little skeptical myself.
