Thank you  That's very sweet of you to say. Someone can accuse me of favoritism, but the proof's in the picture: you have really good arms. As far as 240 goes... The truth is, I do kind of like 240. He is clearly above-average intelligence, and I've seen his little picture-stories about Chad Mower and company. Those show he's clever enough and has a keen sense of humor. Still, he's told a few too many tall tales for me to take his claims seriously. Some of those claims predate my registration at Getbig, but I've repeatedly heard of 400 lb. squats for 20 reps, "meltdowns" that involved some pretty scary stuff, and I've definitely been privy to the illogical 9-11-2001 conspiracy theories. I don't mean to be hard on Rob/240, but I'm weary of someone crying wolf so often. If nothing else, let's break down those conspiracies with some verifiable facts, here on good old Getbig. Don't redirect me to a video elsewhere; don't show me a tome of text that may or may not make the case for glowing-hot steel however many hours after a 100,000 ton building collapsed. Simply put, that's not debating. Pointing to another, tediously voluminous source ("Watch this 20 minute/30 minute/1 hour video!") is no way to argue a point. That's intellectual laziness. If A makes X claim, A should be able to support X claim in relatively concise form (or, at least, be able to point me to the exact seconds of the video in which whatever claims are made, which is still sheepish). I realize debate standards on Getbig are very lax, usually reduced to racial and sexual slurs , but still. |
