Let's take it for what it is - a guy holding a barbbell, nothing more, nothing less.

And hey, I personally think he's doing a great job holding that, I for one wouldn't be able to hold it.

Based on this PHOTO alone I'm not even sure he's holding it. It looks as if the weight is descending and he merely has his hands  around the bar as it travels down; he was just in the right place at the right time.
