that dude had great sub defense,he knew how to turn into the arm bar when he was caught, usually when its that deep your screwed but that dudes arms are like rubber to not pop,he also postured up nicely when he was caught in the triangle.the heel hook is a touchy thing cause by the time you feel the pain the ankle and knee joint is already shredded,in training i tap to knee bars and heel hooks.the only thing i dont tap to right away is chokes, triangles, rear naked, darce ect, cause they cant do any damage like fighting an armbar thats deep.dont get me wrong, when your rolling you know when your partner has got you in a deep armbar or kimura and since its just training there aint no shame to tapping.most of us have jobs to go to the next day and it aint worth it to not tap cause of your ego and end up with a busted arm or dislocated shoulder.in real matches i wont tap unless i feel my limb is going to break, ill fight it as long as possible and try to escape.ive seen guys fight heel hooks in matches and the opponant was even telling him man i dont want to hurt your leg so tap, some guys dont listen and then you hear this sound like someone breaking a tree branch over thier knee, its a nasty sound cause you know someones ankle and knee just busted.ive had my elbow popped before trying to fight off armbars,it used to happen when i first started the bjj training around 10 years ago,i always used to think it was wimpy to tap out and i learned the hard way.as i started seeing the upper belts tapping i realized theres no shame in tapping out, tapping out is there to protect us so we dont get maimed or hurt bad.thanks for reading

Well I guess I am a biatch.  I tapped out twice to my coach tonight, of course, he is a Mundial No Gi world champ.  No shame in tapping.  That is how you learn.

Ask the guy who was in the Fight for the troops.. He won't be earning a paycheck for a few months all because he didn't want to be a biatch.. Now he is a broke Dumbass with a broken arm.. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'll bet that guy was limping the next day from the footlock. That was nasty.

Merry Christmas as well.   :)

Show me a guy who has never tapped, and I will show you a guy who has never trained.
