They have ALL deferred back to Joseph Slade, III, M.D....they say, "He is the best"

I see.  This is what "the best" will get you.

I'd say it's time to see what 2nd or 3rd best has to say.  You're decomposing and may lose that arm.

I have paid about 150K for health insurance for me and staff after 15 yrs of practice.

My total medical bills exceed 500K

...so of the "supposedly" 500k in medical bills, at least 100k goes to support the 20% of Americans with no coverage (doctors and hospitals don't just eat those bills). That brings us down to 400k.

Secondly, it is well established (by several studies) that Europeans pay a lot less than Americans for THE EXACT SAME CARE... so using France as an example (they have the best healthcare system in the world), then the 400k figure has to be reduced by approx 40% to allow for the tremendous amount of waste and price-gouging in the American system. The French healthcare system costs approx 60% of what Americans pay per person.

Reducing it by 40% brings us down to 240k.

But we forgot that the French system is inclusive, whereas 20% of Americans aren't covered.

So if the French are paying 60% of what Americans pay, yet the French are inclusively covered... then we should reassess that 60% factor. So we should reduce the 240k by a further 25% (the full cost of the American system is paid for by only 80% of the populace).

That brings the 240k down to 180k.

From this 180k of true "medical bills" we should also delete the percentage by which the American taxpayer underwrites the cost of private medical care in the US... from memory I believe this figure is somewhere in the region of 20%.

That brings our 180k down to 144k... the TRUE cost of those 500k in medical bills.

Now let's look at the 150k you claim to have paid in medical coverage...

You forgot to include the taxes you pay that contribute to underwriting private healthcare, you also forgot to include the cost to your previous employers, you also forgot to include the cost of treatment-versus-cure incentives built into private healthcare systems, you also forgot to include the fact that you haven't finished paying coverage... your cost of your coverage will continue to increase year by year till you can no longer afford it... then you will be just another chronically sick no-coverage casualty of the healthcare for profit cartel model.

Congratulations.

Keep voting Palin.

Please prove this.

... so using France as an example (they have the best healthcare system in the world),

Please qualify this statement.

then the 400k figure has to be reduced by approx 40% to allow for the tremendous amount of waste

Please prove this 'waste'

and price-gouging in the American system. The French healthcare system costs approx 60% of what Americans pay per person.

You negelected to mention the 70% tariff on their wages.

Reducing it by 40% brings us down to 240k.

But we forgot that the French system is inclusive, whereas 20% of Americans aren't covered.

Perhaps. But being the planner that I am...my business 'math' is such that I draw enough lucrative actions and earnings thru my business that I can easily pay for these costs..whioch you assume would shackle me and cause me duress.

Congratulations.

Keep voting Palin.

Its not about Repub or Democrat, Luke. Calm down on that stuff. When I am getting sliced in two, I like to know that I am going to wake up from the anesthesia.

America is non pareil for health care.

My very good friend, Dennis Cashman (You can find him and the 11 books he wrote on US history on Amazon) recently said that socialized English medicine is a falure. He had to wait 9 months for a MRI.

Come on, now.

Well, in that case, I would have to question his competency.

If he can't solve an infection - as you're talking about the possibility of amputation and consulting getbig's experts for medical advice - it sounds like you should get a second opinion.

Or, maybe you want to live with that growing gash for another year.  And let your insurance company spend another 200k on it.

Most people would decide they had given the yale employee enough time and money to solve the problem, and they would consult with another doctor.  You're resigning yourself to optimism - while at the same time starting jingoist threads claiming US superiority.

You should instead be directing this energy at locating a specialist who can solve this problem so you're not living with it for another year.  Your doc isn't *that* good if the gash is growing and you're talking amputation.

Brutal, gag on cock prison style ownage of that moose dude.

I hope the his Yalie and World Class Winner Takes All Inc. insurance can front the cost of repairing a torn up anus.

The UN says America has the 37th best healthcare system in the world. France is number one despite spending about half of what America spends per person.

But you don't trust the UN do you? Because you've been to France and samples their healthcare services yourself, right?

If the UN development reports show data vastly contrary to your Republican party FOX News propoganda, maybe it is YOU who should prove some of the uninformed sweeping statements you make, not I.

In some countries you would get the same treatment almost for free(200$/year).

Universal health care is not free, you still pay for it and medical standards are lower. , find a plan that that the deductable is a little higher and the premium lower (you can find a ppo that offers that). We pay 387.00 a month for my family and I can go anywhere I choose.

Health care and medication should be provided free by the state.

I don't understand why a country like "America" with all it's immense wealth, huge armies and technology cannot look after it's own people   ???

Many won't. And many aren't even Americans getting overpriced American health care. For free.

How is it we don't have universal health care again?

When I am on the table, unconscious, hoping to be repaired and wake up, with my parents growing old woth worry before their time (both are 68), do you really think assinine thoughts about repub lican or democrats matter?

I don't worry about politics or the UN because I am generally HAPPY with my life.

I handle my own problems

And don't woirry and complain about

a guy 300 miles away in the white house

Thus, I am not a political officianado

Coach:

I have a problem with getting to sleep at nite.

So, as I lay in bed

I don't count the proverbial sheep.

I count

all the rights

people have or think they should have

And I then waft into a com fortably numb

Stagnated funk

Of sleep.

Because a country has an obligation to protect it's citizens.

If someone has no money or cannot work due to illness, are they supposed to just die on the street?
This is not right.
And a country with immense wealth has no excuses when struggling countries can still provide health care to it's people.
