train chest by itself or with calves and then train shoulders and triceps together at least 3 and preferably 4 days later.

I still did chest/tri/delt until not so long ago ;D

Modernized A(23) beast work out:

1. Chest
2. Back
3. Shoulders
4. Arms
5. Quads
6. Repeat
What about the hams? You gotta make a ham sandwich now and again.

maybe deadlifts are enough sometimes? when u do a lot of sets...

Possibly. I do hams with quads. Stiff-legs and leg curls.

If your doing squats, lunges, hack squats/leg presses,  your hams get stimulated plenty. A bit of leg curls or sldl's will surely suffice!

Yeah that's a good approach.

The delts have always been a bit of a conundrum to me.

The front delt pushes, the side delt lifts your arm laterally, and the rear delt is a pulling muscle. So I do front delts with chest, side and rear delts in my back workout.

and then occasionally I'll leave em out and hit them all after a days rest, just to keep 'em honest.
